Mateck 0 Posted December 18, 2008 A lot time has passed since last update of M1A1HA but we finally managed to finish the new version. Although it doesn't have Tank Fire Control System, new interiors or even new backpacks on turrets Crazy Hussars Team hope that you will like this new version. This new version have been completely reworked. File structure, class names, model sections and scripts have been changed. Unfortunately this new version will not be compatible with old missions. Because of those changes we decided to create new topic for our releases and to rename our pack (moderators please lock previous thread). At this time we are releasing three separate addons - CH M1Abrams Pack, CH T72 Pack and CH M1A1 Replacement. All of them are standalone addons, even replacement addon. For more information on how to use them please check theirs ReadMe files. <span style='font-size:11pt;line-height:100%'><span style='color:red'>CH M1Abrams Pack V1.01</span></span> This addon contains M1A1HC (Heavy Common) and M1 in several paint schemes. Features: - models based on BIS sample models - loader position with mounted M240 - custom markings - custom textures - custom parts - new armor values - new ammo values - new sounds - main gun recoil - FLIR system (need to be turned on via command line) - Smoke screen by Xeno (need to be turned on via command line) <span style='font-size:10pt;line-height:100%'><span style='color:blue'>Download links:</span></span>  Crazy Hussars FTP - http://crazyhussars.arma2.pl/ch_m1abrams_v1.01.7z  Armaholic - http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=3141  Armed Assault Info - http://www.armedassault.info/index.php?cat=addons&id=456 <span style='font-size:11pt;line-height:100%'><span style='color:red'>CH T72 Pack V0.91</span></span> This addon contains T-72M, T-72A, T-72M1V and T-72AV inseveral paint schemes. It's still beta version and tank models may not be accurate (e.g. DShKM instead of NSV). Main purpose of this pack was to fit ammo and armor values with those used by CH M1Abrams Pack. Tank model is based on M1A1HC that can be found in CH M1Abrams Pack. To maintain 100% compatybility in MP games replacement model is a bit different form M1A1HC. Also configuration of the original M1A1 was not changed so it uses default armor values and ammunition. <span style='font-size:10pt;line-height:100%'><span style='color:blue'>Download links:</span></span>  Crazy Hussars FTP - http://crazyhussars.arma2.pl/ch_m1a1_replacement_v1.01.7z  Armaholic - http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=4394  Armed Assault Info - http://www.armedassault.info/index.php?cat=addons&id=694 <span style='font-size:11pt;line-height:100%'><span style='color:red'>Missions</span></span> to be released... <span style='font-size:11pt;line-height:100%'><span style='color:red'>Source files</span></span> MLOD's - http://crazyhussars.arma2.pl/ch_source.7z

wipman 1 Posted December 19, 2008 Hi, yesterday i had a CTS when i was trying the new M1's; that look really good and the markings now look much better no matters where the light source comes from and if they're under a shadow or not. Let's C ya

da12thMonkey 1943 Posted December 19, 2008 Thanks for the updated version guys. The custom paint scheme feature's great! I spent this afternoon making the Autumn/Winter variant of the MERDC scheme to match Fischkopp's trucks: http://img254.imageshack.us/my.php?image=winmercduf6.jpg I'm experiencing a bit of an odd visual bug with the FLIR script though. I get these white orbs floating around above objects which I assume are light sources for the IR illumination. These shouldn't be visable, right?
Stavanger 0 Posted December 19, 2008 Mirror by ePrison.de -CH M1Abrams Pack v1.0 -CH T72 Pack v0.9 -CH M1A1 Replacement v1.0 good job and best Regards, Stavanger
T_bone 0 Posted December 19, 2008 About FLIR, its not a bug, it's temporary solution. More "realistic" FLIR was illuminating only few objects.
snoops_213 75 Posted December 19, 2008 Hey great addons! Thanks for the update, onw question though is why make it so we have to set the FLIR in the command line? No big deal as i can sort this for mypersonal use but wondering
Mateck 0 Posted December 20, 2008 Hey great addons! Thanks for the update, onw question though is why make it so we have to set the FLIR in the command line? No big deal as i can sort this for mypersonal use but wondering First of all FLIR script is still not perfect, e.g. white dots as a placeholder to indicate warm units . Secondly we want to maintain maximum compatibility with other mods/scripts that may have use own FLIR system. Thirdly this is insurance for performance drops that may be caused by FLIR script. da12thMonkey, nice job on that texture. If you want You can send us this paint shame and maybe we will include it in next release. P.S. Photoshop/Gimp templates and other source files i will probably release after Christmas. Banderas 0 Posted December 20, 2008 Hey, nice to see the tanks reached 1.0 status. I don't know if it's a bug or not, but AI Abramses do not engage any flying units, not even after a direct attack order. If I order the gunner to target the chopper, it does only when I switch to the main gun, with the aux M240 it just turns the turret in the direction of the heli, but does not elevate the gun to it. dvm 0 Posted December 20, 2008 I don't know if it's a bug or not, but AI Abramses do not engage any flying units, not even after a direct attack order. Yep, I've the same problem. Also, M1s don't engage any infantry units with coax MG, even if I order gunner to fire at specific unit. If M1 is totally under AI control, tank attacks infantry only with main gun (shells), not with MGs. Nice addon though.
Banderas 0 Posted December 20, 2008 Also I found that default BIS M1A1s main gun is a bit stronger, it takes out CH T72s with one shot, while CH Abrams has to fire 2 shell to completely destroy them. I also tested both Abramses on 343rd Badgers russian tanks, and on some occasions BIS Abrams destroyed a T80UD with one shot, while with CH it took 2, rarely 3 shots. If it's a deliberate feature to balance the game, then please assume I didn't say a word
Mateck 0 Posted December 21, 2008 Also, M1s don't engage any infantry units with coax MG, even if I order gunner to fire at specific unit. If M1 is totally under AI control, tank attacks infantry only with main gun (shells), not with MGs. Can someone else can confirm this? On my computer AI engage infantry units with both coaxial MG and main gun. I've compared M256 ammo with M68A1 ammo and only differences are in hit and typicalspeed parameters for default shells. Coaxial MGs are the same on M1 and M1A1. EDIT. After disabling ECS it seams that AI engages infantry units only with coaxial MGs and of course commanders M2HB. william1 0 Posted December 21, 2008 both CH m1A1 (using replacement and without replacement ) engage enemies with both MG's, so no problem here
