Description------------

This addon consists of 3 pbo:

1. MarinesAudio.pbo adds 15 trigger tracks. (This one is required to use others).

2. MAMenuMusic.pbo replaces Main Menu music with Marines' Anthem.

3. MADeathMusic.pbo replaces some death music, most are not replaced because of overall.

Warning!---------------

This addon contains adult language.

Installation-----------

Put all pbo's to your addons folder

or use modfolder.

As always - remove the old pbo.

Im a little confused, does this replace ALL arma music with these songs?

Ive just added the pbo at highest priority in my addon list all in the  correct place/location, and im still getting stock arma music, retried a few times, same thing?

Is this just to be used as triggers in missions or is it menu music?

Maybe it could be explained a little more in first post, I assume its menu music, but so far not sure.

Maybe it could be explained a little more in first post, I assume its menu music, but so far not sure.

From what I gather it adds music to the triggers' activation list dealy in the editor (i.e. you can make it so a set trigger starts one of the music tracks included). Best bet is to set them to radio alpha, bravo, charlie etc on repeatable triggers so you can play whichever song you like whilst playing by jus tmaking a radio call. Only works for custom self-made missions though.

Once again I updated my file, I think it is the last update - now I will try to make it as a menu music or something.

In this update I've included some dialogues from full metal jacket and corrected some issues. Will be good for mission makers.

Ah cool, I see now, like a sound trigger mod ... I must admit it should be a little clearer in the readme as I would think more may be assuming its for menu music (unless im just a lone nut).

Theres a recent sound mod "VOP Sound" that adds music for menus, might be worth checking that out for config details on the menu music.

As a thought maybe it should be named as such like "Vultar's - Mission Music & Audio Mod V1.0" or some such name

3. Is there anything more that is compared to USMC and you want me to include?

Add all the music you want, IMO. If it's a Marine-specific music list, I would only include music that directly relates to the Marines. If it's just a general music mod, you might try to find a way to make it modular, so that you can release multiple music "packs" with different themes, etc. and so that users can create playlists and such of their own.

Ok, everything is ready.

I've replaced 3 ArmA tracks

ATrack3, ATrack7, ATrack8

so you will always hear Marines songs in launching Main Menu.

The others cutscenes got random music and I don't want to replace everything because personally I like ArmA music

But for first cutscene 100% Marines songs

Futhermore, I've replaced every Death sound, that means you will hear Drill Instructor when die. Six tracks replaced every death ones.

As community wanted me to change name...

This might be an issue for some, IE how do you know form the list whats changed, to have yours as a trigger option and Arma's for an option is best, replacing main menu music is cool, replacing stock trigger audio for missions might not be the best idea.

Modular seems good as spoken before, I would say, release a "menu music" replacement pro, a "death scene music" replacement pbo, and also add in as you have the extra trigger music pbo. And put them all into one download, that way people can kill menu music (you can then replace most of the music too) and also have options to keep it as it was or have replacement death music overiding the mission triggers.

Something like:

Menumusic_repl.pbo  (tracks to replace menu music as much as you wish)

Deathmusic_repl.pbo (replaces death music)

Musicfortrigger.pbo (you still get the normal music in the list for triggers as it always was on first release.)

I for one would want menu music mainly and not death scene tracks replaced, but would want the other music to use as I wish in a mission with a trigger AND still want stock arma death music available to me. Therefore Id grab 2 of them and leave out "Deathmusic_repl.pbo".

Just an example realy, what you do is your choice at the end of the day.

Im just chipping in becuase I think this is a great little addon and more flexible and less "tied in" the better for mission makers and people who want new music for menu

It is impossible to replace main menu music without replacing 3 stock arma tracks. If it is, show me how, because its the best way I know.

About death music... you really want to hear those 10-20 second arma music instead of for example:

"Marines are not allowed to die without persmission!"  ?

I think that it was a good idea. Personally I love it.

But sure I will separate it to different pbo... soon.
