Few essential things

Arma2 needs better cover(trees,bushes)an ai should go under trees then ordered.Also no arcadish action icon's,no random voice system.Russian and resistance voices should be included.Bis should really learn something from best mods for ofp and arma,marking's,random numbers/register plates,tracers,GDTModHDR,ECS to name a few most important.And "that" should be deleted from voices!!!

Yup,but it takes lots of time IF they are ported and IFsomeone will make voicepacks!

I dunno about the icons, i kind of love the icons... tounge2.gif they are pretty usefull when commanding troops smile_o.gif

And "opfor" should be Russian,buildings in citie's should be much better/happier looking/colored.Also less fictional names for citie's/villages,and shilka should be replaced with tunguska.

And I would hope that the TrueMods will be ported across to ArmA2 so that you will still be able to choose whether to display icons, or not, on your own machine, as you can already in ArmA.

Some of the things you want have been talked about as being part of the game. ArmA 2 will have tracers based on vbs 2's technology. They will also have a realistic frequency... one bullet in three or whatever the belt would actually have instead of every bullet. Also, they have developed a new automated way to make LODs so not only will the bush switching not be so much like a boot in the teeth, but also the geo LODs should look more like what the bush looks like to the player. And lastly, the game will have more detailed AI, by an order of magnitude, so they should be able to figure out where they are going better. All of this sounds great and I'm interested to see how it pans out.

Well,the other things are very important because it's such little details that make the game(icing on the cake).Without them implemented i doubt BIS is getting my money.

I still don't see them in the latest pics!What gives?They are very easily and quickly added.I'm not going to wait a year to find them in 3rd party addons and go through pains of making replacement configs again.

The one big problem with Arma terrain is that it's too flat, too little detail/resolution. In real life you have big local variations, in both texture type/color and elevation. There are no ditches for instance, and that's a big drawback.

Yes hamis, I'm sure that you're not buying the game if it doesn't have random register plates or happy looking buildings.

Some suggestions I haven't seen mentioned:

Please make buildings more usable for cover. All buildings should have doors that can be opened or bashed in. Please allow firing ports to be chiseled through walls for prone and crouched positions. Please allow window frames to be knocked out for clear fields of fire.

Please make bunkers better cover for standing and crouched positions. Right now, they're death traps that are usable only while standing. Shooting at vehicles with an M136 from inside a bunker is simply impossible. Once the enemy has spotted a character, the bunker essentially provides zero cover as the enemy accurately and easily shoot in the view ports at any range.

Some games have a special key or button to hide behind cover and pop up to shoot. The game "Uncharted - Drake's Fortune" does this very well.

Please allow characters to give other characters items without having to drop them on the ground.

Please allow gear to be picked up even in thick brush.

Please provide a broader weapon selection, especially for silenced and scoped weapons.

Please allow grenades to be simply dropped out of a window. This can be done in real life but cannot be done in ArmA.

Please fix edging issues. All too often M203 grenades and M136 missiles catch on edges such as window sills when they should not.

Hi, for me one small and really easy to add thing will be, to make working "cat eyes" on the

units that have 'em, viewable at +20m without NVGs and at +50m with 'em; also working

IFF patches on the units that have 'em modeled in game, different ones for the grunts, Team

Leader and Squad Leader so we could know who is who and who's in front of us during night

missions. That will be a really easy and useful small detail that i'll like to see. Let's C ya

P.S: I'll also like to see it on the ArmA 1 BLUFOR and RACS units.

Hi, other small fix that will be very usefull, enable lean to the sides with the RPGs, right now

in the ArmA i can't lean with an AT weapon when i should be able to; also, will be much more

usefull if when you're lean to any side and you swap your possition (crouch to stand up) it

will reset the lean, so you stand up in the place and if you want to lean for watch again by

that corner, then you'll have to hit again the lean keys; also reset (remove) the leaning if

you sprint forward. All this will safe many lives plus make the gaming more fluid. Let's C ya

Hi, this is not an "essential thing..." but will add alot of atmosphere to the missions; scripted

vultures, hawks or eagles circling arround a given area, as a game logic or something. It'll

add alot of inmersion to alot of mission tipes, put some owls on some trees may also be

pimp, so if the owl says something and you're close... you could hear it and know that someone

is getting close. Let's C ya

People really should learn how to make a suggestion instead of demanding this or that.

Being friendly gets you farther then 'screamposts' demanding his or that to be implemented immediately, or in internetspeak: NAO!
