igor drukov 0 Posted May 8, 2008 Hey there - With Recon Drill, you will be trained to jump behind lines and recon enemy forces without being detected. The mission was designed with one goal in mind: to provide clans with an objective way of assessing a soldier's scouting and infiltrating competences. A lot of people fancy themselves SpecOps, Forward Observers or Snipers - among the most sought-after roles, yet also among the most demanding ones. With its unique "Recon Points" system, Recon Drill will sort the wheat from the chaff: only the best of the best will succeed. The mission is both SP and MP: it provides slots for clan observers to watch the trainee in action, and even a second slot for an instructor to take the jump with the trainee.
[*]Downloads The download contains the mission and the ReadMe file (270Ko). No addons are required to play the mission. Current version: v1.0 (May 8th, 2008) The mission was designed and tested under 1.12, but it should work under 1.08.
[*] Links to the mission:
[*]==>Download Mission (v1.0) <== [*] Link to Armaholic (Courtesy of Big) [*]The Principle After a HALO jump over enemy territory, you are to earn 80 recon points and extract in 30 minutes without being detected. Undeceived 392 Posted June 21, 2008 Sounds very dangerous, this mission!! I will test it as soon as possible! Thanks, Igor! [*] observers' slots for clan testing; Hehe, sounds like a new standard "entrance examination" for clans!
Alpha-Kilo 36 Posted June 21, 2008 I also enjoyed the stealth/recon challenge and I think this mission serves well as a testing tool for new clan members etc. But for training purposes I would welcome an option to show the right solution after calculating the score. This way the candidates could actually learn from their mistakes and find the motivation to practise harder.
