cheyenne moutain complex

He doesn't have permission to release the bits he didn't author.

This has been pointed out to him politely several times.

His final response could be paraphrased as "waaa! I'm going to hold my breath, then get somewhere else to publish my work, you're not my friend any more!"

That's why not all of us are treating him with the respect you think he deserves.

and they think they are police and judge of the Arma community?

CW had tried to contact the "author" = someone who ripped content from a TV series without permission. As this "author" seams no more interested in the stuff, CW decided to release. Now someone jumps in and says he would inform any site that CW is using "stolen" content? Sorry, that is one step to far.

If you don't like what CW is doing you are free to state so and no one forces you to support CW. But you have no right to threat him. Even less as you have no permission on your own. Read my post at the "Rules of content permissions." and think about it.

I want to decide my own if CWs stuff is "legal" enough, I don't need someone to judge for me. If you don't change you mind, the DSF mod is no more part of MY community.

Regards,

QuietMan

Wow ... I didn't think ARMA was played by "kids" ....

"kids" sometimes doesn't relate to age.

See, what did I tell you.

Everyone overreacting over nothing...

I look forward to your release Col. Well smile_o.gif

(Out of interest, are you planning on a version without the stargate? It'd be nice for just using the facility as NORAD smile_o.gif )

It would be cool if you could put this mountain

in a map in creation.

Hard to explain but..When you create the map in O3

or visitor you place the complex(Norad) at the side or

end of a mountain in the map. That way the complex

gets kind of built in the mapmaking.. And not a

"standalone" in some desert...

Nice job Col.W

You'd have to mould the existing mountain range around the model but it the best idea, only problem is the complex would be limited to just that map.

I could see us adding it to the ace world but I would have to talk to some of the other guys and see if they are interested as well... What about joining up with ACE, would that also be something you are interested in too? We could always use another modeler

That was nasty...

Know what would bee coooooool..?!?!?!

Being able to dial different maps...

Lets say you Have 8 different maps programmed in the

main frame. You start at ACE map SGC..Then you dial

the code for Saharani...And woops you jump to that

map..Or too A.C.E The world...

That would REALLY give this addon a Relevant meaning..

Diffrent maps for "Different" worlds...

Oh look, colonel well's holding his breath again.

Wonder if he'll stamp his feet next?

Oh, the StarGate in the complex doesn't belong to colonel well and he'll need my permission if he wants to spawn it with the complex (i'm sure that correct).

I can dial between maps in single player but not multi for obvious reasons.

were is your permission to copy Startgates?

edit: and by the way, he don't need permission to spawn, as long as it requires your original unchanged addon. Or you add a disclaimer that no one should use your addons at all.

the options on copyright laws are endless.

oh that chesnut, i'll go with non-profit fanfiction and i believe any addon that depends on the use of another; automatically using it.

Should need permission if not already given in its readme, the stargate mods disclaimer has protected its work for over 3 years now...

Colonel wells addon would use the gates and not be restricted by the disclaimer, if he did something stupid to bring MGM down on him; we'd be pulled into it as well.

I don't think thats fair.

-------------------------------

I like the complex but keep the gates a seperate placement.
