First Scrimmage - June 28th

Reports just in have suggested that Kingdom Of Sarahni Special Forces have attacked DRS Peacekeepers on the Island of Barbuda.

This is in light of the recent situation on the island that both the Kingdom of Saranhi and the Democratic Republic Of Saranhi lay claim to the island of Barbuda, and also its recent discovery of large deposits of oil on the island.

Witnesses say that the KS launched an early dawn raid on the south of the island which caught the DRS Peacekeepers by surprise and resulted in heavy casualties forcing them to retreat back to the North of the island. For now the KS are rumoured to be holding the South of the island. However, experts have highlighted that this might be another attempt by the KS to gain the Oil rich North of the Island.

Scrimmage Two - July 5th

The recent conflict in Barbuda became worse yesterday as the KS Special Forces attacked several key DRS positions near the capital. The DRS suffered heavy losses and called for a withdrawal of troops from the region.

It is rumoured that the KS Special Forces sabotaged the DRS supply lines in an attempt to bring this conflict to an abrupt end, but the DRS strongly deny this and say that they are simply withdrawing their troops, and calling on their allies in Eastern Europe for support.

Battle One - July 12th

Now Three weeks since the original conflict began on the Island of Barbuda the KS have sent the 506th Air Assault Battalion in to capture the Northern Oil fields of the region.

Indeed this conflict looks like it will turn into a full scale war between both sides, as the DRS have mobilised all reservists and have sent a battalion of their own Army to deal with the threat.

Further reports today indicated that the KS Special Forces are still advancing North through the capital city and are approached the DRS Military Airport.

The rest of the world watches anxiously as the conflict shows no signs of ending anytime soon.

Battle Two - July 19th

The KS Army engaged with the DRS Forces close to the small town of San Feres today in a firefight that lasted over 3 hours.

The DRS had setup defences in the town in order to stop the KS advancing any further north, which appeared to have worked as the KS where unable to advance any further North.

The UN is calling for an end to the conflict and has sent over its own representatives to the island in order to restore order.

Battle Three - July 26th

The KS attacked several DRS positions in the early hours of this morning inflicting numerous causalities in an attempt to push further north.

However, the DRS prevented the KS from pushing them back, and began to push the KS further South in an attempt to push them from the island.

The KS however where not easily pushed back, and sources state that they began to push the DRS back towards their original positions towards the end of the firefight.

The global community expresses its desire for the conflict to end quickly and peacefully, but at the moment this shows no signs of happening.

Battle Five - August 9th

With further hostilities during the week between the KS and DRS another conflict emerged earier today over the capital of Barbuba. Reports emerged that the KS pushed back a large force of DRS soldiers North of the island almost as far as Rodas at one point without sustaining many casualties.

However the DRS counterattacked with a large scale push on the weakened KS lines as the forward scouts pushed forward and cut them off of causing them to fall back further and further all the way back to the capital once again, within the last few moments of the conflict reports came through that the KS had pushed out of the capital city and were being an assault on the town of Marca De Santo.

IC ArmA is now no longer sponsored by MYIS. The tournament will continue as normal, however the servers for Teamspeak, and ArmA will be different. The URL for the website will remain the same as before.

Battle Six - August 16th

Hostilities continue to unfold on the small desert island of Barbuda. Today reports came in of a firefight on the Eastern side of the island, the DRS pushed forward with an Armoured Column forcing the KS forces to fall back to the South of the Island.

Rumours that DRS Special Forces where spotted operated within the mountainous areas surrounding the KS Base in an attempt to stop them reinforcing the frontline sparked a response from the KS High Command, insisting that their own Special Forces where sent to clear the area of any enemy forces. Reports coming in suggest that two soldiers where killed, and a weapons cache was also found on the mountain tops.

Soon after Blackhawks began pouring in to reinforce the KS's frontlines and allowed them to begin to reply the DRS and push them further North up the island.

A temporary ceasefire has been called between the two sides as the UN push for a peaceful end towards the conflict, however this outcome seems unlikely in the current climate.

Battle 7 - 23rd August

Reports received earlier today suggest that the DRS attacked a key KS Outpost on the Western region of Barbuda.

Eye witnesses comment that there was a large firefight in the small town of Torta. Naturally a choke point due to the Mountains and Ocean it is a key passage for troop transports to the North and South of the island. For over an hour both sides fought fiercely in the town with neither gaining any ground until the KS tried the risky tactic of landing on a small part of the cliff outside of the town in order to flank the enemy.

This success allowed them to attack the DRS and push them back to the Valley. From their a ranged battle involving Aircraft and Armour took place in the valley with both sides pushing each other forward and back, until the KS managed to almost reach San Feres.

The conclusion to this conflict promises to be swift, as both sides have limited supplies available and can not last much longer than a week.

Battle 8 - 30th August

The DRS resolved the conflict today in a swift and decisive manner. The KS Army had no choice but to sign a ceasefire at Barbuda Airport and leave the island.

As you can see there have been a few changes over at IC ArmA for Campaign 5.

We have a new forums and website which can be found here

http://www.ic-arma.net/

We also have a new battleserver and Teamspeak Server provided by SquadServer.

The reason for all of these changes is because MYIS are no longer sponsoring the tournament, therefore we have migrated to new servers that are being provided for by people within the tournament.

As for the tournament itself, we are going for an Infantry based campaign. With minimal Armour and Aircraft in North Saranhi this will be a much different style of fight when compared with older campaigns. There will be only way to find out how it turns out ...

What's happening at IC ArmA

Mickd, Celery, cain2001

None of your posts have anything to do with the original idea of this forum: Posting news about squads or fanpages.

I think there is a forum at ic-arma.net where you can post this stuff.

Obey to the guidelines for this subforum or the thread gets locked.

Celery, I think you are long enough around to know that quoted images are a big no here.
