DaChevs i might be able to help u wit this well i can help u on the "Make a hint appear if the player has no money in their inventory" but im sure we culd work together to fix the Not Unlock the car thing smile_o.gif

Update: Well, ive been trying to see if i can find away to make it so the Vehicle wouldnt unlock but i mean imo i say scratch the Vehicle(is bank) thing and we'll just make a script that tells u have no money in ur inventory, and use this thing I found as the Bank, its a Bank Building its realistic too the screenshots makes it look nice so imo try it out and if it works and looks good then use it smile_o.gif heres the link to the Bank Building

Other than that ill get the Script that gives the hint for ya, it wuld be just like the one in SL when u try to buy a vehicle and u cant because u have no money in ur inventory

Update2: Although the outside of the Bank looks kinda old style im sure u culd reskin it smile_o.gif hehe

Update3: Ok well well while spending some time on the ArmA wiki cuz i was trying to make a mission of my own i came across something in the Mission Editor Article that might help u with the Not Unlocking Vehicle thing i dont think it'll help but ill see wat u think. That Bank Building thing imo i still think its a good idea that u shuld try tho :P

Maybe give an opportunity to buy rifles/smgs/etc only to SWAT.

And normal police can have only pistols(eventually MP5)

Maybe you should add SWAT van, I remember that I spotted it somewhere in community.

About civs. It would be bad to have terrorist as in SL. I would say in City there should be mafia ^^

How about changing models to "Bank Robbers by Dallas" while joining mafia? They got masks on heads so they are great to rob bank.

And maybe Mafia could buy Assault Rifles from Gun Dealer somewhere in the country side?^^

Yeah I am full of ideas, tired of SL.

Mafia can be in every year. Like there were Mafias in 1930 in usa, like now there are cartels in columbia. Also some mafias in europe, drugs smugglers, cartels. And about Russia... HUHUHUH! Aren't you scared to go outside Uni? lol

glad u like it i liked it because it also had an ATM and a Vault so u could have Sheriffs gaurding like they would in Real life. When u get on xfire lemme know im having a friend come over today but ill be coming upstairs everynow and then to check on stuff, we shold talk about some things on xfire including scripts so get on ASAP

Mafia are just organized crime , to put it basically the more sophisticated version of gangs. They were roaming russia in the early 1990`s but now they are legitimate oligarchs.

Thanks for recommendations. Yes these sound great, I have SWAT units and the 6th Sense Editor Update which gives me a unit called King, which is in a nice suit, I thought I would use this for "mafia" sort of a classy "gangster" thing. Still try to get the action to switch units working confused_o.gif I checked the wiki and followed that as well as some posts in the editor section but when i select the action it doesn't switch, I will get it to work though.

Well. Dallas' Bank Robbers got suit on them. It pwnz and bring some Yakuza or '30 Mafia to game^^

You can always ask Dallas for p3d to cut off the masks of their faces ^^

Then those guys would be nice.

Alright I still check for some more units. I have the switchunits working (sort of) kind of a beta stage of it. BUT I GOT THE BUY SCRIPT TO WORK. First Version Should be released in the next few Days!!!! wink_o.gif

Just out of curiousity DaChevs, but which SWAT unit were you planning to use for this?

The one by gT.SWAT-guy, or another one?

I personally believe gT.SWAT-guy's ones are by far the best, and come in both Blue (with SWAT patches) and Black (with Police patches.)

The best part about it is the fact that comes complete with its own SWAT specific weaponry such as a MP5 with Tactical Light aswell as a M4 w/Eotech & Tac. Light.

Did you ever consider as a alternative to make the SWAT units a seperate class to choose from at the beginning of a game, if of course you were unable to fully get this "change unit" script to work?

Anyway, seriously looking forward to your mod mate.

Was going to use these <s>SWAT</s>

only because I don't have Queen's Gambit and also only people with Queen's Gambit could play the mod. I have a special MP5 for the SWAT and will add special M4's and Pistols for them to select.

I was also thinking I might just make different units and bases to start for SWAT, CIA, President, Cops and Civs, first come first serve.

gT.SWAT-guys SWAT units "don't" necessarily need Queens Gambit, they work perfectly fine without it..... well at least if you don't mind then not showing wound textures when they've been riddled with bullets from a mafia drive-by (or anything else for that matter.)

When completed would you allow others to make derivative work with your permission? Like for instance I wanted to modify it to include certain addons versus others (in this case gT.SWAT-guys SWAT units.)

For personal/clan use of course.

I will probably allow changing with personal use.

AH OK but it does still work--Cool. THERE so BEAUTIFUL I think I must add them in. Or maybe two versions.

usually just clicking past that resolves the issue, should be a ok box to click on or some such.

I use the addon frequently, and I don't have Queens Gambit myself.

I'm guess I'm so used to clicking past error messages now that its become second nature and thus no longer bothers me.

Could see how that'd be a problem for a few people though.

Yeah I think I could get used to it. wink_o.gif But others, but still two versions is possible.

So do you think it would be better to just have everyone choose a role at the beginning or have the switch unit command cuz it gets real complicated with Switch unit because the first unit stays where you originally were and people can shoot it and all.

If there were some way to physically remove the model upon switching that would solve that issue though?

But I'm guessing there isn't any sort of remove command that works for soldier models?

Otherwise yeah, you might have to have it so that the SWAT class can be chosen prior to mission start, but perhaps strictly limit the number of slots from anywhere between 2 to 4 (depending on how many slots there are in total.)

As for having two seperate versions of the mod, maybe you should get the opinions of others on the matter before deciding, to see which SWAT unit the majority would prefer to use.

I'd still vote for gT.SWAT-guy's unit regardless. (Espiecally that class that has the goggles on.)

Heh wink_o.gif Yeah I was gonna have about 5 SWAT, because they will be called usually by the Police to large problems like bank robberies and Drug busts. I'm also gonna have two roles for protecting the president and 22 or 24 Civs in total.

Ok now the vote

Which SWAT does everyone want

pick 1 or the 2 u wouldnt mind.
