Confirmed shoot out of non-gunner positions

I don't think so... if they already disappointed with removing of this topics subject feature, then i really doubt this would be added.

A big shame though.... another thing which limits freedom again in that engine for the third time....

Hopefully they change their mind and deliver such features/engine-upgrades for a high-quality expansion package like Resistance for OFP.

Yes, would be wonderfully great, I agree ^_^ but I can do without... at least, without no for moving in vehicles...

Pleeease, add the "shoot through window" function :-P !

well, if no shooting out of vehicles or transporting rabbits in c130, well, we allways got the über ability to: CLIMB OVER SMALL WALLS thank you bis, for that awesome feature, will come handy in RP tounge2.gif

Didn't they say they would work this out in a patch? Or has this now been forgotten. Sorry for bringing up an old thread, just seemed kind of important to resurrect.

I think its pretty obvious by now that the feature is not going to come.

This would require adding alot of code for the AI aswell remember.

VBS2 has it because its a 1500 dollar game used with NATO forces, doubt we will see this at all in Arma 2.

I'm pretty sure VBS2 is not 1500 dollars because of shooting out of vehicles. Its a matter of adding gunner spots to all the spots you want to shoot out of and having your soldier model in a position that fits that spot, then making the soldiers weapon the gun. Thats at least what i remember them saying they would have to do. Its like the humvee m2 being put on the side of the window, but replacing the m2 with your weapon. So i'm sure the hardest part is creating a new body position to fit those spots, seeing that ace already added new gunner spots to humvee's easily.

But the AI has to be coded to use the feature and thats alot of work. :rolleyes:
