Maciver 0 Posted December 12, 2007 I've heard alot of complaints by other people and also experienced this alot myself. The thing throws you off constantly. Kills you at random for no reason. I searched for a similar thread to no avail. Does anyone know anything about this bug? Is it something we can fix? Or do the devs know and are putting it in the new patch? I just wanted to bring it up cause I love the dirt bike! Mabey it's just me, but its so fun tooling around with that thing. I really hope there is a fix in the works, if not something i can solve myself right away.
croc4 0 Posted December 12, 2007 its not you, I have had the exact same things happen, try going up a slope, it will back flip you and then your done, and the slope does not even need to be that steep, something that could be easily traversed IRL.
sparks50 0 Posted December 12, 2007 I think this would be fixed in 1.09. i also have this problem with random deaths when driving fast down a steep hill with a car, theres no crash or nothing, i just die.

Drozdov 0 Posted December 12, 2007 Actually the motorbikes are waaay more forgiving than they used to be in OFP, with the exception that they're more likely to flip up when you're going uphill - but that's not so bad since you're going slow and it'll never kill you. It's much easier to stay on your bike at speed than it used to be, unrealistically so given that you can actually skid sideways at speed without toppling over. You need to be going fast down a bumpy hill to kill yourself on an ArmA motorbike. In OFP you could kill yourself by going fast and zigzagging too much, it was really more realistic that way. Sc@tterbrain 0 Posted December 12, 2007 I think this would be fixed in 1.09. I keep hearing about the legend of the 1.09 patch. Starting to seem as elusive as Sasquatch.

I'm talking about a bug here, not intended dynamics. You can be driving strait, on perfectly flat tar or dirt, and going 3 miles an hour or 50. Doesn't matter. I tested several different conditions. I even tried not using my mouse, thinking it could be that. It will throw you off no matter what your doing or how fast your going.

Beagle 684 Posted December 12, 2007 Correct answer would be: Will be fixed in some patch that will not be named 1.09 and that will be available sometime next year, or in two month, no matter at what time you ask for it.

Maybe instead of making up BS you could read the facts. Quote[/b] ]and at BIS headquarters the final touches are being put on the 1.09 patch, to those of you who aren’t aware this patch will be released as beta 1.09, once that beta status has progressed successfully it will then be released as final ArmA patch 1.11 or 1.12 (perhaps with a couple of small additional tweaks/fixes if required). The patch includes a number of tweaks/fixes, some improve performance significantly, for example the reworked grass clutter of Northern Sahrani improves frame rates on various systems that tested it. From here. Edit: What's with all these "1.09 wont happen" type of posts? Do some people just come here to be stupid?
W0lle 1050 Posted December 12, 2007 This will be fixed in 1.09. The patch will be released once all still present issues have been fixed. Closing.
