the-f 0 Posted December 1, 2007 Unfortunately Placebo didn't like that my bro tried to help rightful customer of ArmA. So Placebo removed his post ability for some time.. Some brief answers to your problems: @Stuntman: Quote[/b] ]Cannot load "proper_anims_fast_forward_transition.pbo", requires "SaraLite.pbo" If you check the PROPER Mod BIKI page about that particular addon, you shall understand. @Pillage Quote[/b] ]When I go into the editor all east west and racs vehicles are listed under civilian. Please read Stuntman's first post on page two of this thread and the following answers of that page. Â My bro may or may not come back to this place... Pillage 0 Posted December 1, 2007 Thanks the-f, I think a readme needs to be included in the proper mods rars containing their wiki information. Problem solved anyway so thanks PROPER team. looking forward to any/all additions.
Ubershank 0 Posted December 4, 2007 I'm having a bit of trouble trying to get Sakura Chan's damage texture replacement and sea textures to install on my system and it seems there is limited support for it that I could find. I placed the depbo.dll in my system32 folder and executed the .bat file but nothing happens I attempted to open it via the cmd menu but came back with errors that the files it was looking for was not found, I've already extracted it and tried the .bat again but still no good, any insight on how I should go about this would be much appricieated. Ubershank 0 Posted December 4, 2007 It also seems that my ca.pbo is broken now after trying to install the files *sigh* time for a re-install
Stuntman 0 Posted December 8, 2007 I have (one more lol) suggestion to invent in PROPER mods: I'm getting more and more annoyed that you almost cant hear your own breath. Not only does it make it harder to hear if you are tired, but also it destroys immersion when you don't hear fast paced breath... I'll say you should at least increase the volume of the breath sound by 200% (100% (standard) + 200% = 300%) if possible, like in OFP where you can hear the breathing really clear. Hope this suggestion are helpful for you, I just want to give you tips and such...
Pillage 0 Posted December 9, 2007 Just a suggestion Stuntman but have you tried 6thsense.eu' Pack 1? It offers breathing/fatigue/wounded soundfx, bleeding, improved tracers, aswell as the editor update (which any mission tinkerer should already have installed). I've been running most of the PROPER mods, 6thsense pack and FDF sound mod together and they seem to compliment each other nicely.
kroky 1 Posted December 9, 2007 @Q My suggestion is to release a similar addon like the doubled armour for armoured vehicles, also for soldiers. Firefights would last much longer!! Please see this thread: http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....t=70204 I would suggest to raise body armour for soldiers from 3 to 6.
.kju 3245 Posted December 16, 2007 Sorry for the late reply... Placebo removed my post ability.. Quote[/b] ]Now, if somehow you could provide a comprehensive break out for all of the movement anims organized in some sort of standard way (i.e. easy to use like the four you've got already), I would be in shock and awe! I realize this last request is probably a little far fetched, but hey might as well ask, eh? @ MadRussian Sorry, I won't do this for now. Maybe at a later point. Quote[/b] ]can the turning speed be influenced while equipped with a launcher ? or has it been changed already ? @ ricki I tried with the "PROPER_Gameplay_Weapon_No_Dexterity" addon. It only worked for rifles and pistols though. I guess it is related to the mass of the model itself. Personally I think the launchers are fine as they are. Quote[/b] ]I think a readme needs to be included in the proper mods rars containing their wiki information. Problem solved anyway so thanks PROPER team. looking forward to any/all additions. @ Pillage Agreed. However I don't have the motivation and energy to do it.. Quote[/b] ]I'm getting more and more annoyed that you almost cant hear your own breath. I guess you should be happy with it. Quote[/b] ]My suggestion is to release a similar addon like the doubled armour for armoured vehicles, also for soldiers. Stuntman 0 Posted December 16, 2007 Happy return to the forums, Q! Great, I will download the new update, I'm always happy by your awesome effort to change ArmA into something better!
Stuntman 0 Posted December 21, 2007 Found a bug, at least something which would be very useful to fix. I like all the redesign of every UI you have made. But there is one little bug in the "PROPER_UI_MP_Lobby_Dialog_Redesign.pbo" If you see under the "Players", you see that all the player nicknames are disapearing into the right edge of the screen. Isn't it suppsoed to continue under each others? that's why there is all that free space under the nicknames? You can easily see it on this picture Isn't it supposed to be like this? I really hope you can fix this. Because I love all your UI's, and the standard ArmA MP UI does not show all the players. If you can fix this, I will be VERY glad! .kju 3245 Posted December 21, 2007 Hello, Stuntman That was the intention yes. Unfortunately, I didn't get it to work like that. Not sure if it is a limitation because the content is generated by hard coded functions. Maybe some advance UI designer knows how to fix it. You could bug Dr. Eyeball about it. kroky 1 Posted December 22, 2007 @Q Please check after 1.09 patch if the patched value for armoured vehicles now still require you double armour patch.
.kju 3245 Posted December 22, 2007 Hello, Kroky already had a look at the code changes 1.09 did. It will take some time to find out what needs to be changed though. Reports about things that broke would be great!

Not sure if it is a limitation because the content is generated by hard coded functions. Maybe some advance UI designer knows how to fix it. You could bug Dr. Eyeball about it. Copy that, Q! No problem if its too hard or not not in your interest atm, not at all. I just have to wait for (if any) change may happen in the future. Still all your UI's really rocks! They are so clean and beautiful to look at, they are not tiring your eye with effects and such. And the Main Menu UI is just the best.....very practical and still the most beautiful to look at. EDIT: Do you want me to post a topic about this problem in the forums, so anyone who are interested in helping can give it a try?
.kju 3245 Posted December 22, 2007 @granQ I can see no reason to remove this project. It is a single addon completely independent to the rest anyway. The difference is that the addon is client side, whereas the new functionality is server side.
Sosna 0 Posted December 27, 2007 I enjoy many of these mods, thanks for the work. I have a small mod request that I think fits with the PROPER theme. Right now in Arma when wearing NVGs and zooming, the black NVG overlay stays the same size relative to the screen. However, the zooming is meant to simulate the resolution of the eye, not the zoom of the NVG device. So basically, the mod should make the size of the black NVG overlay consistent with the eye's zoom level. I'm pretty sure it's possible since a similar effect was done in NWD's tank optics. To be honest though, I don't know since I couldn't script something if my life depended on it. Anyways, just an idea.
.kju 3245 Posted January 3, 2008 Thanks for the feedback Sosna. Unfortunately your idea is way too much work for me. 2008-01-03 is among us Quote[/b] ]* Updated all projects: o CfgAddons added to avoid missing addon error messages upon mission load. o better inner structure (relative includes). o version.txt with date tag instead of version number in the version.sqf. * Added BISign files for all pbos and the PROPER.bikey to support signature checking. Unfortunately to sign each individual addon with another key is quite some work. We will do so only on request. * Added PROPER Gameplay No AT Use Vs Men By AI * Added PROPER Gameplay RadioProtocol Fixed * Added PROPER Gameplay Vehicle Tank Armor * Added PROPER Gameplay Vehicle Transport Limit Expanded * Added PROPER Gameplay Weapon AA Launcher * Added PROPER UI B Side Fix * Added PROPER UI GPS Watch Compass Radio Model Reworked * Added PROPER UI GroupDir Size Reduced * Updated PROPER Effects Damage And Sea Texture Replacement Sakura Chan - Full PBO version now available for download. * Updated maybe a few others .. cannot remember.. * Added a note about Obsolete PROPER addons in 1.09 beta. * Added package Check our PROPER Mod BIKI project site for more details: http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/PROPER:Mod --- PROPER packages For busy people with limited time you can download two packages now: * PROPER UI Redesign.rar (click to download) * PROPER Gameplay.rar (click to download) Note that a few PROPER addons are not in both packages like PVP and AI addons and certain addons which are not favored by the common user. Unfortunately you have to check yourself which PROPER addons are NOT in there. Don't forget about the PROPER Effects Damage And Sea Texture Replacement Sakura Chan (click to download) addon. It is a single PBO download (~30MB). Enjoy
Pillage 0 Posted January 3, 2008 Downloaded and installed but haven't had a chance to test it yet. Either way my ArmA doesn't load without 'most' of the PROPER mods. I love the pick and choose system you've implemented too thanks for the update. edit: Just noticed this error in the updated wiki page... Quote[/b] ]PROPER_Gameplay_Vehicle_Tank_Armor.pbo * (click to download) o Doubles the armor value of all armored vehicles. PROPER_Gameplay_Vehicle_Transport_Limit_Expanded.pbo * (click to download) o Doubles the armor value of all armored vehicles.
Guest Posted January 3, 2008 PROPER_Gameplay_RadioProtocol_Fixed The link to the above file gives me a page cannot be dispalyed error. Please check it
.kju 3245 Posted January 3, 2008 Both these issue fixes and the link to PROPER Effects Damage And Sea Texture Replacement Sakura Chan. Thanks Pillage, El nino Foxhound!
Mr Groch 0 Posted January 3, 2008 I think that PROPER Effects Dammage and Sea Texture aren't working... All other addons I have tested, works fine, but I can't see new dammage textures and sea color
.kju 3245 Posted January 4, 2008 I can confirm the problem Mr Groch. It is quite strange. Even though the PBOPREFIX is set correctly to CA, filebank (BI packaging tool) changed the PBO header to something different: correct one: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE"> sreV prefix ca config.bin Ãœ |Gø data\black.pac ß current one made by filebank: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE"> sreV prefix PROPER $PBOPREFIX$ Ú |G config.bin Ãœ |Gø data\black.pac ß Once you unpack the pbos both are exactly the same. I guess this bug? is related to the BISign file.
Mr Groch 0 Posted January 4, 2008 Maybe unpack, pack with other packing tool and then sign created pbo?
