Assault (CAN) 1 Posted February 25, 2002 CANADA!, CANADA!, CANADA!,....wooooooooo! Its a great day to be a Canadian hockey fan! I missed the first period because I was on a bus on my way back from a weekend excercise with the reserves. As soon as we got back, we brought a TV onto the main floor of the Armoury and watched the game as we cleaned our rifles. As soon as Canada won, people took to the streets in cars with their Canadian flags in hand. The whole city was filled with honking horns, screaming fans and Canadian flags. People drove past the Armoury hanging out of their windows, waving flags as they went. My friends and I were still in uniform, so people would shout stuff to us like: "woooooo!, YOU RULE!" or give us a thumbs up and scream their fool heads off. A truely AWESOME day indeed. The bars right now are full of people getting drunk while listening to songs by the 'Hip'. Wow, what a great end to a long day. For more news on the topic, go here.
