AA-12: 12 guage Auto Shotgun

Hmmm, I don't know, not really a fan of it - (the gun, that is - your model is top notch)

Other guys may love this and go woot! - but I think your (awesome) talents are a bit wasted in this mate - there's so many cool military assault rifles out there...but just my opinion mate, it's your rock show smile_o.gif

I'm not sure I'd use it in ArmA - but again, that's just me...

If you can manage to make the Frag-12 rounds for it I'll use it :P The model looks good so far.

I know. I'm tired of M4/M16 derived rifles.

This thing is an ugly beast but the reason why I like it is because its real, it works, its inexpensive, and its already fielded in Iraq.

@helping hand

The Frag 12 is a config issue...exploding bullets - easy (a la BMP2 or Cobra ammo).

This has the potential to be the ultimate noob cannon, and its realistic! smile_o.gif

You could only really do the HE Frag round. The armour

defeating capabilities of the other two members of the Frag

12 family are redundant in the game as armour isn't modelled

very well. Come to think of it good old buckshot isn't modelled

very well either  (I'm starting to think that ArmA doesn't

model anything very well).

Nice, though, to see something different and a bit unusual.

In this game a rifle is a rifle is a rifle, but a shotgun

is...well...a config challenge to say the least.

The config can be kept simple enough by using slugs and HE rounds only. Really, they can be treated as just as slower moving bullets.

I realize that in ArmA, shotguns are not very useful due to the lack of urban terrain to figh on. On the right map or mission, however, I think they will find a niche.

i mentioned this before in an addon thread that if you look at the way the machine gun fires in the hind from the rhs hind addon the machine actually fires like a buckshot you should have a look

What do you think?  Worth pursuing?

Oh hell yes! Of course!

Especially after the OPFOR got those damn Russian

6-rounders similar to the M32 (in QG exp.)

Yes, but it's still best military game on the market.

Take this as constructive criticism.

I think you should really carefully reevaluate the silouette of your model. It doesn't really look like the weapon in that picture. The bevelled recess between the butt-stock and the pistol grip is much more pronounced on the real thing, for example, that the shape of it seems to be longer. I would suggest applying a suitable photo or drawing to a plane for reference in as many orthographic view-ports as possible. Photos will not give you the greatest degree of accuracy because there will always be some degree of perspective, but it is a good place to start!

I saw that on Future Weapons! Make some blackwater forces to go with it!

Yep, that where I got the idea. I love that show.

I also have a Tavor assault rifle (also was on future weapons).

@plaintiff1 - thanks for the pointers. The problem has already been partially addressed but you're right, the model can be optimized.
