Anti-Aircraft Guns

We have ported the excellent OFP 23mm Soviet anti-aircraft guns to ArmA. Need to find the original author in order to ask if they could be released. But on many places author is listed as "Anonymous" - great... no place to start

EDIT: If we get the permission - first release can take place immediately.

EDIT 2: The ZU-23 family would fit like a fist in the mouth to any modern conflict since the 60's.

This weapon pack definately deserves to continue it's life in ArmA.

That ZU-23-2 was used in alot of mods, I can't seem to recall the original author because of that

Alot of reskins have been made, the earliest reference I could find was [this], with updates [here] and [here] .

This is the first version I ever recall playing with. This was as far as I know the only ZU-23-2 ever made (and reskinned loads of times)

That is the problem. No author is listed and have not been able to find it out in several days that I tried.

One option is that I release the pack and give full credit to VitaPC (who ever that might be) for the original OFP versions.

I might be that I take some shit in the fan for that later on. But I see no harm done if this weapon lives carrying it's makers names in ArmA too - considering that it was used in numerous other mods earlier on.

The VITAPC pack was made by the same fella who made the ZSU-23-2s JdB linked to, AKM74.

Don't think he's been around for a good long time; his APC pack ended up in the hands of DKM Mod who also stopped working eventually so it may be hard to track him down.

I checked the released versions, they don't include a readme, so no e-mail address. He may have registered on these forums, but that is just a guess (also it's a pretty common name). No contact details leaves it pretty hard to talk to someone without telepathy, so as long as you mention his name in the readme, it should be fine.

As long as you give credit where credit is due, I don't see what the problem would be, it's not like you're claiming to make it, you just imported it.

I’m  be happy to see my ZU23 in Arma.  You can release it. If you want to port any other units from my pack... feel free to do it.

BTW. I’m recommending you to use new/updated model from APC pack. Let me know if you need source files.
