I think its doable to change the map size from 25km to 51km. any chance you can add runway textures in your next update? I need to look into how Sgt.Ace did the Everon, cant promise anything though. will you be adding all original forests if you update, like the one near the airport on everon and in the valley by the castle? I'm not sure about the forest objects, still havent searched any info about them heh. But I'm not sure if its good idea to add the OFP data3d\ p3d object into the island release pbo, I guess its small and everything, but I'd like this conversion to be "ArmA" first of all. But i think it would be better to do one island after another and then put them toghetter. Good to hear - on the subject of distance: Far away, far, far away By 51km island you mean 51km x 51km, which means 2601km/2, yes? I will take a look at the distances in the current version and come back to you after that Edit: I've just finished my flight above the islands in a cobra - love the terrain All the islands more or less fit within a 5000 x 5000 trigger, and using the distance command, the distance between the main islands seem to be around 6km. If we get 6km distance on a 21 x 21 map, then we'd get 14,4 by keeping the relative distances on a 51 x 51 map (unless I'm publicly displaying my demented math skills ). I mean, when tools are out, there will be fast jets, cargo/ tranport planes (ANTONOV), fast attackships, hangarships, cargo/transportships. I mean whats the fun in playing with a ittybitty maps with a ANTONOV packed with stuff. Just GO up, move 10sec, drop and get down for a refill. BOOOOORING.... I got pr'd/wl'd for asking that question, although I did kinda point out how that asking that question supposes the naive assumption that cooperation is possible contrary to historical fact. Snake Man 407 Posted August 17, 2007 The biggest problem is the floating objects, these object types need to be manually aligned to the ground which is horrible trial and error work one object type at a time. I'm hoping that we get the new ODOL format read so we can find out the correct alignment automatically. We can already do this on OFP MLODs so all existing island objects work ok with proper alignment. Then there is the widening the range issue, many people requested that the islands should be more apart, this is very easy to do and is on the TODO list for next release. Multiple airports is now possible, and I again keep this on the TODO list, hopefully it will be done by the next release. And when is the next release?
