Outside Tinker A.F.B. in Oklahoma. The E-3 came out of nowhere and with my luck being the way it is, I took the picture right as we started hitting lots of signs. (60-75mph down the interstate)

yes and 7D (under it , it is much faster than with 40 or 50D, really as we say in Polish "it get wings now" )

but Pentax K5 is now best camera of world

shame i cannot sell all Canon stuff (5 lens, flash, macro rings etc.) to have Pentax for it's high ISO noise free ability

i wish to have such noiseless photo at ISO 6400 in sport, museums etc. to have shorter time of exposition

cause now i am limited to 3200 and sometimes it is not enogh (dark museum where tripods are forbidden and flashlights are forbidden, plus birds in shadows plus situations when you need very very short time like 1/2000 s)

but...

i have to stick to 7D (although really now lens works faster) and use it's best as i can (it also can do not bad ISO 6400, but not as Pentax K5)

edit : i checked, 7D is less noise than 50D, so it is good ;) when exposition is okay it is not bad at 3200 ;) at 6400 is not horrible

i wish better tone and darks performance to all cameras like K5 have (maybe in 2012 more cameras will have such great performance)

Not sure where your hearing pentax k5 is that much better, but lenses imo mean a lot more than any body ever will, and in that department nikon and canon are unbeaten at dslr at the moment imo(sony has officially stopped producing a850).

With the quality of noise reduction software these days (noise ninja, lightroom etc) 7d is usable at 6400 (though it's just 3200 pushed up in camera). It will get you decent a4 prints. For birds in shadows, get a flash extension like better beamer. It effects them as much as the sun catching the water.

Yes, you can get more value for money out of the d7000 and maybe the k5 atm, but the 7d was a real breakthough when it came out and it's still so little difference it's not worth consider over the important factor>lenses.

If you want better noise control still though, you will need to get a camera with a bigger sensor. Trust me though, your just as good sticking with the 7d because you loose most of the reach on your 100-400 (I shoot 400mm prime with 5d2 which gets me the same reach as shooting 250mm on crop sensors like the 7d). 7d is a great camera to do it all, if you have just one for telephoto and wide angle stuff.

Be happy with your 7d, if you switch to pentax, you loose so many lens options as well as canons good prices.

Lenses are upgraded every 10 years +, bodies are 12-24 months.

P.s if you want godly high iso, get the D3S. :D

@Flock - yes, probably you are right in regard of lenses

i forget i can buy (i try at least to collect money ) for 17-55 f/2.8 and than go to museum and than turing from ISO 4000 to 2500 having aperture 2.8 instead of 5

Canons have wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide offer of lens, shame 17-55 f/2.8 is so expensive for me now

Nice photos! That 100-400mm L is a good lens. Only the last one is a bit overexposed. I don't know maybe you can edit it again? Work on the CAs and lower exposure?

Atm I'm saving money for the 100mm f/2.8 L Macro IS USM. I'm at 300€ right now^^ Maybe for birthday or christmas if there aren't any unexpected outgoings for unversity or something.
