Wow, you SHOULD edit when bored. I really like it for some reason. Maybe it's the way that you can not see her eyes which makes is mystic in some way.

Heck, if it was in higher resolution I'd print it on canvas or smth :)

Excellent photos as usual, vilas. That cat photo is superb. :p Did you use a graduated ND filter for this? Not used one yet but thinking of getting one.

the only filter i have is polarising and "glass" one to protect lens in case of mud

I always make in RAW, it was made with natural light, no flash, but shadows were set later to -1 or -2

in DPP (Canon) there is a shadow bar, just this was used

but ND filter could be good to make water flow for sure or to make street without people (few minutes exposure and you will have almost clean street)

Ah, it was probably just good use of the polariser then. I have a regular ND4 filter for light painting and water shots, i'm going to get the graduated filter for more dramatic "Top Gear" style skies.

Vilas, I'm loving the cat pictures! Who woulda thought that the guy who made some of my favourite addons also takes stunning pictures of cats...

Daniel, I'm getting into video too. I've got a Canon 7D (with Rode mic)...Otherwise, I like to artistically photograph some of my kit models.

Love the Rode mic, pretty good for loud live music too. Great models. Are those prisoners in the background? My brother's always bugging me to shoot his Warhammer 40K models, I should get round to it.

I've found Chase Jarvis has some good advice when it comes to both digital photography and shooting video with DSLRs. I'm going to use my local music scene as my subject to begin with.

Cheers! You totally should. I got a whole collection of Micro Machines that I want to photograph, you can create a real nice super shallow depth of focus when you get up close to little things. Having a macro lens helps too!

Yeah, there are some Germans getting taken away at the back. There's also Oddball from Kellys Heroes leaning against the Sherman...

Ok then, shot with a 50mm macro. Constructive criticism welcome, it's for an online diploma (literally pick a household object and photograph it, and explain your choices). Slight levels adjustment in GIMP.

That's good stuff right there. I like the blue lighting, the abstract background and the depth of field. The reflection is really nice. How do you want it to look? Like a real car, or embrace the fact that it's a model? You could try decreasing the depth of field, ie. make the back a bit more out of focus?
