I did a search for "the worst idea ever" and didn't get any hits either... confused_o.gif

correct - I chose a fairly easy one to try and get the thread sparked into life again - no point posting a tough one and watch the silence that follows.

I'd say it's a prototype of the Bradley but the non-M-series lights on the back make me think otherwise.

well, i recognise that shield on the back of it with the white cross - same as you find on the german leopards - although this obviously isn't a leopard - just trying to find other german tanks

To me, it looks like some extended version of Austrian Ulan biggrin_o.gif

lol, I already figured it was from germany, as I said in my previous post - the shield with the white cross on the rear makes that an easy observation.

the picture appears to be, say, 1970-1980's in age - weapons are G3's rather than G36's - can't seem to find alot of german armour from that period - 90% of the hits for anything with german & tank/armour in google returns WW2 (not surprisingly).

A question would be whether it ever entered service or was an experimental/test bed vehicle (I'm currently exploring the latter)

it never entered service due to political changes and some other reasons. Enough hints for now.
