Pathy 0 Posted March 26, 2007 Hmmm early USAAC Roundels on the underwing, i'd place it as an early ww2 era US fighter. That said, it doesnt match any of the famous US fighters of the era. Digging around a little i'm coming up with the P30A.
BlackScorpion 0 Posted March 26, 2007 Yup, Consolidated P-30(A). Guess I'll pick something without markings next time.

BlackScorpion 0 Posted March 28, 2007 Well, it's 1930-1940 surely. Engine looks a tad like the ones used on Morane-Saulniers, and the wings and general shape fit the MS.325, apart from the support bars and landing gear. Markings look like Commonwealth (Pacific). Guest RKSL-Rock Posted March 28, 2007 Its a 1932ish Argentinean build/conversion of a French design. But I'm damned if i can find the exact model.

Pathy 0 Posted March 28, 2007 Well done BlackScorpion! Dewoitine 510. They were built off the 500, modified with a different engine. Because they look pretty much identical i'd have given it to you if you'd have said the 500, but bonus prize for getting the 510 Your turn!

Guest RKSL-Rock Posted March 29, 2007 Dorand GII "Gyroplane". Â It never flew, and only 1 was ever made. According to the stories on the net and a book i read no one wanted to be the one to start it up as they were dubious if the rotors would clash or they would be able to handle it due to the primative controls. Looks very Buck Rodgers though!
