505 Collector's edition

Maybe I'll be wrong but the only special thing made by 505 is a steel box sold in about 30.000 copies...Just thinking about the ammo box sold in Germany with all the stuff inside and I become crazy.

What about all the requests you guys did in the thread ?

the german S.E. wasn't all that special, i think. some of the ammo boxes were in a real sorry state, with paint on, rusty, oily, fatty, smelly. kinda cheap, they didn't even wash them.

I think that the only special content is software...the game is just patched with the upcoming new things from bis and an extra mission, If I understood well.

Maybe they realised that some of those "requests," were considerably inane. Honestly, "special forces goggles" or "night visiion goggles" "survival knife" were some of the highlights of that thread and seeing that, can you hoenstly ask why that garbage would be scrapped?

I got the German special edition and boy .. it stunned me.

Here's what was inside:

- DIYS kit to build a SS20 nuclear missile

- A G36c in snow camo with ArmA logo on the barrel

- 200 rounds FMJ NATO rounds

- A small amount C4 explosives

- A personal drill instructor with a whistle

- General Guba romantic poster

- And of course the inflateable main battle tank

i thought those were just jokes? either somebody here hasn't detected the sarcasm, yet, or some of those people here are indeed crazy .

Down here in South Africa, the standard ArmA release is listed at retailers, but the collector's edition isn't.

Gosh, I never knew steel was less than 0.035% carbon as opposed to wrought iron. Learn something new everyday.

Anyway, I would have expected at least a map or a mousemat or something. Why else have the thread? How much more expensive is the Special Edition?
