zwobot 22 Posted January 27, 2007 If I would like to convert the template into the east side with BMPs instead of Strykers - what exactly, and where do I have to do the change? I suggest to edit the mission.sqm file and change the west soldier/vehicle class names to the east ones.
major woody 11 Posted January 27, 2007 Tried that allready - but It also seems that I've to edit something in the scripting as well - the soldiers don't quite act like in the original westside template... Â
zwobot 22 Posted January 27, 2007 There are surely triggers or stuff which are activated by east/west which had to be inverted. Best you wait for Igor to say something about it.
DOA 20 Posted January 31, 2007 Thanks Igor, You are as always, the man! I'm trying this on my sever now.
major woody 11 Posted March 17, 2007 Almost forgot about this awsome feuture. Now I'm back in customzising it to my own missions. It seems like the script is custom made for the 2-crewed wehicles (Stryker, M113 etc.) If I change the vehicle to a 3-crewed (M1, bmp etc.) and add an extra crewman to the squads he does'nt embark. Is there a special line in the script where he needs to be added. (I HAVE been searching around the scripts but whitout any result )
igor drukov 0 Posted March 17, 2007 Sorry for taking so much time to answer. @ DOA Thanks mate ! @ Major Woody Changing sides is possible as long as ALL groups and soldiers' names are identical (groups should be called ft0 to ft7, and crews ft0d, ft0g, etc.). Now, to use vehicles with commanders, look for "PCP\Server\s0.sqf" and add the following line: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">ft%1c assignascommander stryker%1;[ft%1c] ordergetin true; to lines 8,10 and 11 (near the "assignasgunner" commands. Make sure you've added the commanders in the relevant groups. Or: download this Template with Abrams. I'm sorry everything is pretty dependent on the structure I chose at the beginning, but making it more flexible in a near future will take more time than I can promise to give. Still, what I'm working on at the moment is the implementation of the same control system on the Eastern side so two players can fight each other. Also: 1.05 required a "showCountourInterval" line for the quick map. I've updated the pack for 1.05 here (1st page edited too). Thanks for your interest and regards, Igor. major woody 11 Posted March 23, 2007 Any plans of expanding this to Company Level by the way? Â
igor drukov 0 Posted March 23, 2007 @ shark-attack Thank you mate! @Major Woody I don't have any plans yet to go company size. I've got a few other projects in the making, including that of implementing some sort of east platoons for PvP tactical fights. But who knows what the future holds in store? Thanks again for your interest anyway. Regards, Igor.

CaptainBravo 0 Posted July 8, 2007 Hey Igor Drukov, FANTASTIC job!! Adds a lot more depth to Arma. Any updates coming soon??? Any chance of adding air support such as A10s? Again, great work Captain Bravo
igor drukov 0 Posted July 9, 2007 Thanks a lot CaptainBravo. There isn't any updates to follow on the Control Panel at this time, as I'm working on a series of coop missions (in which air support will happen to be available, though). Thanks again for the feedback, it's always appreciated.
