Col. Faulkner 0 Posted July 10, 2007 I looked at the various webpages hanging off your signatures but couldn't really make much of it. Please explain concisely what the topic of this mod project is. A brave but ultimately doomed fight against the Nazis in 1939? Fighting the Soviets as allies of the Nazis? Czech partizans fighting the Nazis? All of these? None of these? What? Deathstruck 375 Posted July 11, 2007 Okay then: Everybody knows the history (Munchen pact etc.) But this one will be a bit different. First off, it isn't true that Czechoslovak army did surrender witout a single gunshot. There were skirmishes and battles every day on the borderland. (Karlovy Vary, Krásná LÃpa, Chomutov, ÄŒeský Krumlov...) . Czech soldiers and financial guards fought againts Freikorps (Some angry and armed german civilians ! ). Also, in 1939, Czechoslovaks were fighting againts Hungarians (Casualties on one battle: Hungarians: 200, Czechoslovakians: 40 and 1 tank) M'kay, that was the first part. The Second part is about 'What would happen if the Czechs didn't surrender ?' Germans had their Messerschmitts BUT we had a better equipment(Germans even used and reworked some of our tanks) and defense. Czechoslovak army - 30 divisions 1 129 110 soldiers 199 300 Active 928 810e Reservists 350 Tanks 850 AT cannons 900 Mine launchers 230 AA guns 250 AA turrets 2 230 other cannons 900 airplanes
Col. Faulkner 0 Posted July 11, 2007 Alright, thank you. That's very clear now. The Czech equipment (used by Czechs) will certainly be "different" from most other WW2-era mods.
Deathstruck 375 Posted July 12, 2007 Border pole R-S91 "Vrchol" Fort Hanicka
Col. Faulkner 0 Posted July 13, 2007 That's the "back door" of the fort, is it? What does the enemy see, just the gun cupolas? Nice how the model one actually looks like part of the landscape (so many of these addon structures tend to look so "stuck on").
Deathstruck 375 Posted July 13, 2007 yes its from back side, the enemy sees only flashes from machine guns
malick 0 Posted July 13, 2007 Great bunker! Reminds me of french Maginot's design of the same period. It looks like many of the fortifications we have on our eastern boarders (mainly with Germany and Italy). Were czech forts linked to each other, like in Maginot concept, with huge underground facilities linking heavily fortified firing positions on the surface. These forts are incredibly huge and complex... How is the interior working : is it enterable or does it work as a vehicle ? I do believe ArmA still has the same limitation with underground structures... Malick

Weapons  at the czechoslovakain bunkers  enjoy germans on the Atlantik wall and West wall (Siegfried Linie)..  . In Year 1945  some few bunkers enjoy germans  from the Red Army.
