You need to add some wear and tear to the paint, mainly on the grips. Good other wise.

Bucket of paint spilled on the weapon? I did this from the same SJB texture just for kicks few days ago, to me, I think mine looks more like aerosol can rather than paint spillage.

Also, I didn't code for a while, but can you assign different optics for different firing modes? That way you could have both optics available, altough you would have:

Optic #1 Semi-Auto

Optic #2 Semi-Auto

Optic #1 Full-Auto

Optic #2 Full-Auto

hmm i'll try that and the texture u showed was just liek i did the first time then shashaman slagged me off about it so i'll stick with the aerosol ones just with some wear and tear thumbs-up.gif

Yeah, but if I may add some constructive criticism, yours kinda missed transparency/detail/blending where the paint was and it looks like it's actual color of the metal, and not something sprayed on afterwards. Also the paint was at some really weird places like handle (no sense of spraying that since you're gonna hold it there and hands aren't see-trough) and firing mode selectors (frequent usage). I know I made the mistake of adding the paint on the rail, which I presume would wear off very quickly.

IMO, that new texture looks worse than the original one. I'm no texturing expert, but since you have photoshop, you might wanna try Linear burn, 25% flow and airbrush, also try fiddling with Noise Dynamics, Shape Dynamics, Noise and Airbrush settings in the Brushes palette.

EDIT: Spelling. *sigh*

Hi, i've seen some M4's in the hands of Deltas, Rangers, Army SF's & USMC Recon units, with camo paint on the grip and the RIS/RAS, i guess that that was because they don't always use the RIS/RAS heat shields, that's why they paint it; and they don't always are holding it by the grip when they'r on a resting possition in a supossedly "safe" corner or street. I've seen some M4's with the composite of the heat shields, stock and grip made, in Tan colour, green and in camo, colours like the Multicam or something like that; but not woodland. What i'll had added... will had been more shadows on the deep details. But i think that the camo don't looks bad at all... & it may fit well in sandy places as in woodland places. Let's C ya

with regards, thanks for that little tip *shifty look*

and wipman they arent so much heatshields as to protect the ras from damage

Why the Doctor Optic on the top? The DR goes from 1x (or is it 1.1, I can't remember) to 4x, right? No need for it on the top. Still looks cool though.

Nice weapon, good work. thumbs-up.gif I noticed that HH_DM4Mag carries 30 rounds instead of the 25 it says it should have though.

Also, can you make the reticule in the optics view 'glow' so it can be seen in low-light, I can't really use them at night at the moment.

lol glad u like it i'm also working on an SR25 battle carbine see the official knights armco site... M4 Stock shorter barrel etc, but the other thing is the addition of an ACOG TA55 5.5x55 Sight which if i can make the reticle will be used instead of the leupold of watever the scopes are supposed to be in OFP

I tried messing around with Acecubes M-14, and was only able to have one fire mode and two optics (ie. single with optic A and single with optic B OR auto with optic A and auto with optic B) perhaps someone more experienced with configs would know a way around this?
