HAPPY KILLMORE 0 Posted July 24, 2006 Ok i have a legit copy of OFP and have never had this problem until recently. When i use certain weapons in OFP the projectile travel becomes eratic. Usually only happens with LMG's, Mg's, Grenade Launchers, Mortars, sniper rifles such as the RSKL L96 etc. As i am with the RM clan i notice this problem on the server we have too. On the server using the same addons as everyone else in the clan yet i am the only one with the problem. Anyone who can help please do it would be greatly appreciated. Trapper 0 Posted July 24, 2006 Sounds like Fade was activated. That would mean your copy detected itself to be not legit.
JdB 151 Posted July 24, 2006 No one but BIS knows what FADE does, or if it even exists (crack groups claim to never have found any evidence of "FADE"). Blaming issues on FADE is too easy, it might be the first person that this particular thing has ever happened to, or it might not. There might be a messed up addon causing this (like the old Toyota Hilux addon that messed up the MG proxy on vehicles). Try moving all of your addons out of the Addons folders and and then try running vanilla OFP without any addons whatsoever (even without DXDLL).
mr burns 133 Posted July 25, 2006 imho fade is the best copy protection ever! Doesn´t f*** your system and still totally messes up hacked games Discussion on it is forbidden though, you cannot fight what you not know

JdB 151 Posted July 26, 2006 1.96 doesn't even need a no-cd, BIS removed the cd check themselves

The lower the number the higher the effect of FADE. It doesn't actually cause your game to FADE though.

Placebo 31 Posted August 2, 2006 I'm quite sure the forum rules clearly state that such discussions shouldn't be done on these forums.
