Codator 0 Posted February 20, 2006 Hello! Iam German so sorry for my bad english. I hope you guy´s will put the Crcti or BWCti Mod´s in the Game. Don´t get me wrong the game is great but with this Mod´s it is Perfect. And i think it´s no big work to put them in. Think about it ... For Informations look for our Clan-Homepage: www.75th-clan.net. Question to Community --> What do you think of CRCTI in AA? [-75th-] Codator
FCOPZ-illuminator 0 Posted February 20, 2006 This is the job from the community, not BIS.
Komissar 0 Posted February 20, 2006 The CTIs stand an almost definate chance of being ported over by the community to ArmA. So you're alright :P
dachrinne 0 Posted February 20, 2006 i thought the addons that work for resistance will work on armed assault too ?? and crCTI are just scripts and missions ( i just think so i dont understand that much from coding and so) and some buildings. and armed assault has the cold war campaigns integrated . so theoretical crCTI should work fine but with the new armed assault models ? rundll.exe 12 Posted February 20, 2006 crCTI wil be ported definately to ArmA, and have great improvements (good use of JIP etc.) oh, and Cr has a site for it already: Clicky BTW: BWCTI = crCTI @ BWmod
pong2cs 0 Posted February 21, 2006 Let BIS make the engine, the community creates the game.
Zerg 0 Posted February 21, 2006 Yes community creates the game. For a few ten thousand people that visit the addons sites. But what about the rest of the million plus customers? They would surely be best served if BIS implemented some of the inovative community made game-modes into ArmA. Esspecialy when they only require just a few Kilobytes of scripting. Big Dawg KS 6 Posted February 23, 2006 Yes community creates the game. For a few ten thousand people that visit the addons sites. But what about the rest of the million plus customers? They would surely be best served if BIS implemented some of the inovative community made game-modes into ArmA. Esspecialy when they only require just a few Kilobytes of scripting. Your average CTI uses a couple hundred KB of scripting, and thats ALOT in terms of scripting, and CTI scripting is not yet dynamic enough to be implimented as a "game-mode", much customization is required for current CTI's to work. Zerg 0 Posted February 23, 2006 What are you talking about? What customization? Standard crCTI 0.93 will work without any kinds of addons, powered by nothing else than its 560KB large sqripting (when uncompressed) in the mission file. Speaking of which, BIS thinking of CTI when making the rest of the game wouldn`t be unwelcome. We could use better base buidings for one thing.

Yes but the scripting is tailored to the units and very island that mission is based on, the scripting is not dynamic enough, not yet at least.
rundll.exe 12 Posted February 24, 2006 The crCTI script is verry easy adaptable for mods and islands. Dont talk about things you dont know about. take a look at this f.e.: clicky thats not half of the missions that are available. Even you can port crCTI to a new island or add some units. But the perfect CTI is not here yet, so it wouldnt be good to hard-code it in the game. We need our own updates. Some support from BIS would be welcome tho (however I doubt they even know CTI...) Espectro (DayZ) 0 Posted February 26, 2006 I just cant wait to have these big fights on Sarah with Join in Progress! Imagine the possibillities! And now with bigger cpus, we can have even more players in a lagfree enviroment join/parting the server at all times. Could be cool to have an "account" on a dedicated CTI-server... It simply checks what your game ID is, and puts you on the team that you are "signed up" for.... Or even puts you back in the "hotel" you last went in and saved your position. When you go offline, your squad automatically put up a defensive position trying to fight off any enemies.
rundll.exe 12 Posted February 27, 2006 Its ok to just have an AI take over your soldier + team, and you can get back to it when you back in game. AI is sometimes better in CTI then the average player, because they never give up Even the commander could be given to AI (like you can do now) and then connect as commander afterwards
rundll.exe 12 Posted March 4, 2006 Well this question of this topic is totally answered by the OFP.info interview Quote[/b] ]Multiplayer Q: Does new exclusive, never before seen multiplayer game types that will be persistent and have 60+ human players as well as AI, mean that some form of CTI will be hard coded into ArmA? A (V.B): Definitely.
