MilitiaSniper 0 Posted October 24, 2005 Ok..! Here's the storyline. As most of you know Rommell was implicated as one of the high officers that tried to blow-up Hitler. And Hess flew out of Germany to Scotland. Rommell and Hess both secretly met and sent messages to Churchill and Roosevelt. Asking for a peaceful way to have Germany surrender. But as long as Hitler was in power. They both knew that Germany would not surrender. Also fearing the Russians getting closer to Berlin. They made a secret pack with the Brits and Americans to fight the Russians and push them put of Germany. And to end Communism. Stalin which was probably the most paranoid of all dictators. Believed that something was going on with the Brits, Americans, and possibly some of the Germans high officers. Stalin thinks the best way to end this. Is to get to Berlin first, before the Allies! In which he does! But now with the secret deal on the table. Americans, British, & the Germans now fight the Russians. To drive them out of Germany and to end Communism! But we could have it where Rommell made the deal before he was forced to commit suicide! History shows that Rommel was establishing a separate peace with the western allies. After the assault on the Russians. The Allies discover the death of Rommel. The new war already started. No turning back now! harley 3 1185 0 Posted October 30, 2005 But Hess parachuted into Scotland in 1941 and was considered insane, and Rommel died in 1944, having screwed up the Normandy campaign; how about just creating some fictional leutnant-generals? stainer 0 Posted October 30, 2005 I just googled for german army generals and i found Field Marshal Karl Rudolf Gerd von Rundstedt who was captured by the Allies in May 1945. Field Marshal Erich von Manstein was another German WW2 leader who was rounded up by the allies after the war. Maybe You could use these two guys as the high command of Germany? Just a suggestion. He was the officer entrusted with the task of relieving the beleaguered German army in Stalingrad, but was unable to break through the Russian lines. With the resources of the US behind it, it would seem more logical to produce superiour tanks such as the Panther in the same number as the Sherman. harley 3 1185 0 Posted October 30, 2005 American industry would if anything have been gearing up to produce the Pershing Tank, if not still producing Shermans by the freighter load. British production was still centred on the Cromwell, which if anything was superior to the Sherman, inferior armament-wise to the Pershing, and equal to the T-34, although prototypes of the sterling Centurion were in Germany at war's end. I hope I can have this first mission out soon! The story of the first mission is: After the fall of Berlin. The Russians learn about a group of Germans refusing to surrender! Well they that's what the Russians think. But the Germans are setting a trap, to draw the Germans out of Berlin! While the Russians are advance on the Germans. The Americans sit behind the Germans in hiding. Waiting to get the Russians to attack the Germans. Then surround the Russian Army. You will play as a young un-experience German officer. You must hold the Russians at bay. Just long enough for the Americans to come up and assist the Germans! You will have to use radio calls for different types of support. (Tanks and Troops! But..! you must know when to use the radio calls at the time you think you need them most. Or you may be over-run by Russians. And the Americans may not ever show up! If you play as the Russians. You play as a young Russian officer. Wanting the glory of being a combat officer. You think you will be able to crush this small pocket of Germans. You must take your small force and advance on the Germans that are refusing to surrender. Your orders will be.., "No one is let alive! Thunnder Bunny 0 Posted October 31, 2005 This is an interesting concept , kinda like C&C RED ALERT but way more realistic of course This is making me want to research armor battles of the Korean /the six day / yom kippur war. I've tried armor battles with U.S. vs SOVIET WWII tanks in the past. And found it kinda hard to work out the configs to match real stats. Wish the WWII ofp community could have standardized weapons and armor closer to their realworld counterparts. I'm glad most WWII soviet addons are on the res side. Considering USA, why not to use WWIIEC US pack 1.11 ? It contains plenty of infantry, a howitzer and various shermans !
