Engine limitation busters hall of fame

In OFP:E I've never noticed it, will check it out later. The trees and such I've seen being affected, but will take a closer look for the smoke

Limitation: NVGs is allways on/off.

Solved by: Jackal326. This system is now used with many addons (giving you the opportunity to put on your NVGs, and then you can activate the nightvision, not before).

These are always animated smile_o.gif

do you mean you can lower the NV goggles and then switch them on?

Chopper rotor wash affects smoke in OFP by Colonel_Klink

Never seen it though, some great stuff been made through the years smile_o.gif Only to be continued for the next years with new engines and new inovative people

The Lynx chopper released a while ago had smoke affected by the downwash.

Hopefully ArmA has some new EHs that allow smoke from damaged/burning objects be affected by chopper rotors.. Wishing and dreaming is fun smile_o.gif

Yes. First they are off, completely off, not on the model.

Then you choose, "Equip NightVisionGoggles" or something.

And, first now, you can use your NVGs.

They are used on SafetyCatch's US Marines v2.0 (search for USMC on OFP.info, and you should find them).

There you can test the system smile_o.gif

In that case, where to find, haven't seen it on OFP.info

We are still to see if I am not mistaken a working hovercraft.

Check out that Nam one done by CSJ, its a hovercraft and it works great...

CSJ def gets creds for first working hovercraft...

Building on what J W was saying...

...the first set of units with animated NVGs that can actually see in 1st person view when driving a vehicle => FP US Infantry. Not an engine limitation per se, but a nifty workaround, I feel.

Well, Deanbosano is doing a good job on that but

imho it's still far from being 'realistic building destruction'.

It's more like destructable buildings and Deanbosano

never mentioned it to be 'realistic' building destruction.

Also it is only useable for buildings being modell'ed for that

and not 'all' buildings.

It's also not an engine limitation or has ever been one, rather

that it's just put more effort in creating a building and thus

using way more resources by using more faces.

IMHO breaking an engine limitation is to do something that hasn't been possible in theory before somebody found a

solution.

BIS could have implemented that aswell but didn't for the sake

of performance. wink_o.gif

P.S: i don't wanna downgrade Deanbosano's effort into it

that's just my opinion.
