Guest The Cobra Posted August 5, 2005 I don't see what's so nice about it... And also I don't think that turning up all settings on MAX will do it, maybe the pic is edited... BTW; Pic is over 100KB
Trapper 0 Posted August 5, 2005 Quote[/b] ]grass is more gray etc. If I adjust my monitor to get realistic colors like on this picture, an ofp night will be unrealistic pitch black. Or I adjust it to see something without nightvision in full moon nights, then grass is also more gray at daytime. It's something about the monitor contrast quality I think. The only thing you need to do is to turn up the geometry to max (54308) and the textures to 4096x4096. Then run the game in 1024x768 or higher and it will look much better than on that picture. You could also try to change the gamma and contrast a bit.

gandalf the white 0 Posted August 5, 2005 my ofp: green: blue: effects: Both unedited (apart from cropping) , addons used were VME and Y2K3. Did that with DxDll, if you have questions about how to config your DxDll config in a simmilar way, feel free to drop me a pm.
B-2-0 0 Posted August 5, 2005 This is my opinion on what OFP should look like.... Clicky That pic has only had a touch of gamma editing, as Grab Clip Save takes them too dark in OFP, and was also taken without the use of DX.DLL. It was taken on a machine running a GF FX5900 Ultra with all the OFP vis-settings maxed. Addons: HYK Infantry, INQ weapons, Llaumax skies but not sure which island, sorry

I dind't know OFP can have 4096x4096 sized texture enabled? :/ I thought I could also put such texture size on a GF3 then I switched to a R9*** series and can only put 2048x2048 there. lol a few of those textures can knock your videocard out if they were that big. IceDude 0 Posted August 5, 2005 is there a way to get that kind of graphic in Multiplayer? my spec is p4 3.2 Ghz 1024 MB ram geforce 6600 and if so, how?
korax 4 Posted August 6, 2005 If you have a 6600 then theres something in the video options you can turn up called 'Digital Vibrance', makes the colours look much more lively IMO
IceDude 0 Posted August 6, 2005 and where do i enable that?

gandalf the white 0 Posted August 6, 2005 Tinoir, I have the option to pump everything up to 4096 X 4096 too, but Afaik there isn't a texture that big. Therefore it's a useless waste of power to turn everything up like that.
DBR_ONIX 0 Posted August 6, 2005 Yeh, it's avalible to all PCs, but as was said, the textures are rarely above 512, so putting it over that is kinda pointless Doesnt affect performace, only if an addon acctualy uses 4096Ë› textures, it just displays them as big as their avalible (In BIS cases, 128x128 I think) - Ben

IIRC most Geforce cards can run the game with 4096x4096 while some Radeon cards are unable to do so.
B-2-0 0 Posted August 6, 2005 There is no point. There is nothing in the game that uses any textures bigger than 512x512 so there is nothing to be gained by having the setting any bigger than that.

(had the game for three years and still cant figure that out)
Placebo 29 Posted August 10, 2005 Searching for graphics AND settings or video AND settings from the beginning finds numerous existing threads of this nature, a new one I think is not needed.
