FFUR Incoming HUGE RELEASE !!!

i think that the russian voices have been changed into Russian ones from that addon all Russian accents are now actual Russian voices atleast thats what ive found out

i cant wait for the release how about a 2005 video or atleast some more screens its looking good

ive got a feeling its close, the fact that the FFUR team dont seem to be talking as much instead there squezing the last few bugs out so its ready soon am i right there ? rofl.gif

anyway cant wait its looking so good those screens with the blackops and the M4 looks like a new game i showed a mate 2 pics one of them and a pic of original ofp and he didnt beleive me it was the same game thats how good your work is

okay just something ive found out by a friend (who talks alot of crap most the time)

Apparantaly the A10 was taken out of service about 3 years ago for no apparent reason is that true ?

and if its not plese say something so i can prove that its not

The A-10 is alive and well in USAF, USAFRES and ANG service...it prolly won't be coming out of service until 2020something if even that.....

and going slithly off topic for one moment

im pretty sure that the C-130 has twin M163 Vulcan cannon's as weapons

i heard it from some where but is that true too

Yep, the Thunderbolt was essential to killing tanks in the Gulf War. Other than the F-15E which isn't really much of a tank killer (but has the potential to carry a variety of intended munitions) the Warthog is one of the best the USAF has.

Hey thunderbird I made a replacement model for the Russian AT4 for personal use, but if you want to use it I could send it to you. I'd have to get permission though cause I based it on a DKMM addon.

Just 2 Remarks :

A. The Mission diary it's very nice but the ruler on the rigth made the reading of the objectif on the map impossible the ruler is very very disturbing.

B. Do you have implement the LIBMod Tank Dommage system (Cause in FFUR AddOn i have see some LIBxxxx.pbo Addons), if it's the case it's a very very very good idea cause the normal system for a realistic game like OFP is not very good.

Liberation Mod damage scripts are nice indeed but I prefer to avoid implementing'em for 2 reasons :

-We don't have enough of time to test'em quite longer to be sure that they do work without making any troubles in game.

-They may be sources of CTD due to conflicts with other FFUR scripts (tracers,firing flashes...etc).

In any way,it's a bit too late to carry out such changes because kinda enhancements need several hours of beta testing in the goal to make sure everything working.

just one thing i dont get there your happy to implement the Russian At4 with ch_123's but why not the tank dammage scripts ?

unless theres already some in so in that case thats fine

good work it must be getting close now if its too late to carry out changes

cant wait must be soon

also how about tracers for the M16 i havent noticed any from the other Woodland pack i just found the tracers n the M2 and Dshk

Replacing a model and testing it in game doesn't need the same time than incorporating scripts and testing'em. One has to be sure that the incorporated scripts may not be sources of CTDs,errors,etc in game , and this purpose does need some hours.

Riffles rarely use tracers in real life , only light MGs and heavy MGs carry tracers bullets. In the upcoming packs you will notic'em for these both weapons.

Edit: Ok ignore what I said just there, i got some time to work on the addon, it doesn't have any config but it comes with the model, the empty model and it's optic. I'll PM it soon.

okay no problem

sounds good about the tracers does that mean your getting rid of the line ones from BIS and replacing the line with a realistic tracer or does the line come with the tracer effect ?

I saw some people requesting that you replace the current animations (found in 5.0 beta) with the new DMA ones. Hopefully you'll keep the original and if people want to have the newer animations they can add that on their own instead of having that as the default?

First step -> Defining BIS tracers to mak'em invisible.

Second step -> Incorporating tracers scripts to Machinegunners.

A lot of people complained about the animations used in FFUR 5.0 Beta and requested to tak'em out , well we've done it by changing'em to the popular DMA NextGen(relax version) + DMA Pistol anims.

In fact the animations used in FFUR Beta 5.0 for soviet soldiers weren't defined in ffur\dta\anim.pbo but they were used as modified addon in ffur\addons\ , that has been done in the goal to allow to each side getting its own anims,though.

West -> dta\anim.pbo (Sanctuary animations for the west side)

East -> Addons\"xxx [don't remember the name of that addon].pbo (ORCS animations + cfgmoves defined in FFUR cpp)

But it's best to have the same animations for all sides and that's we've decided for the upcoming releases

I know from many secondhand sources that many soldiers who have used ASSAULT RIFLES load tracer rounds near the END of their magazine, so that they have a visual warning that they need to change their magazine soon.

I can't recall exactly how empty the magazine is before the tracers are used, but if I'm not mistaken I think that generally the last six rounds are tracers.

You might want to consult other sources for more clarification on this though.

thats a clever idea also they load 29 usually into a mag instead of the full 30 for some reason i cant remember it but there was one

I believe that the loading of only 29 rounds is due to the fact that they want to help prevent rounds from jamming, but if I'm not mistaken this is only done for the M16 "family," which may or may not include M4s and the like.

As far as I know, other assault rifles DO have their magazines loaded up fully so that they hold 30 rounds.

i think jamming was the reason something to do with that little extra bit of tension of the magazine springs oh well

just to make sure dont change the 30 rounds to 29 i want that extra round rofl.gif
