Of course its up to the player whos been commanded to move/attack to build a few units then head out to where the commander sent him. That would improve the team play in CTI 10x no idea if its possible thou but hey i didnt even know this birdseye veiw command menu was possible in OFP and its been done! D.murphy man 0 Posted August 15, 2005 nice to hear that youll consider it i had another idea whiles in a drunken sleep last night, are you guys going to make the GDI infantry drop pods? If you do i think it be kinda cool 'upgrade' that the commander can purchas or if he builds a com-center thingy. Once the upgrade/buildings complete all the player could have the ability to call down basic infantry units by drop pod no matter where they are at double the price of what the unit would be from the barracks. then the said player gets a count down of the ETA of the drop pods (5 mins?) then depending on how many he orderd they come crashing down in the general area of the player and join the players group. Be VERY cool to be assualting a GDI held town as NOD and watching all these drop pods come streaming threw the air and crash landing desprately trying to defend the town whiles NOD artillary pound the town and some thous underground APCs pop out the ground Edit: Another thought is that it be a rather novel way to respawn the players to. You can call them and give them one waypoint so they wont join your group and will attack the target which you have chosen. I like your idea for the respawn but will discuss this with my leader at first. DBR_ONIX 0 Posted August 15, 2005 Hmm, the drop-pods remind me of Planetside (You can go to the HEART center, and then board a drop ship thing, and click somewhere on the map, and you get droped via a pod thing to that area (Had a cutscene sequence while it was landing etc) Anyway, something like that would be fun, "Troop cataurpault", where it launches the capsules (Containing a unit) to the area? D.murphy man 0 Posted August 15, 2005 Heh i use to play planet side but then they brought in the BFRs and i was sick and tierd being base camped by 20 of them at the same time and i wasnt prepared to folk out more money on the expansion to get to pilot them any way if your not firmiliar with CnC TS drop pods in the RTS game they where ment to of come from a space station high in orbit and they hold one infantry unit each pod. If you're worried about it getting repetetive, how about only having the Elite units drop pod, and regular units start in the barracks. I will post laters a pic of it this crates what you see in that pic what ive posted are how in C&C avaiable too, that one with corners, how round thats the random crate, you will find it in our MP mission (like CTI but muuuuch modified) and its only one avaiable,when you have found it, go to it and you become a tank, or money, or a bad thing, like a bomb or mutants. how in the C&C game. its very funny to search crates :P and if your base is destroyed, and you dont have a MCV (Mobile Construction Vehicle) and you search a crate, you will get a new MCV! dunno why that is, in the C&C Game is it.
