M9ACE 0 Posted April 15, 2005 The first computer game that really captured my attention was X-wing back in the early 1990s. I have not bought any Star Wars games in the last few years because I have been disappointed with everything they have released since X-wing Alliance. billybob2002 0 Posted April 15, 2005 The movies: http://progressive.stream.aol.com/aol...._dl.mov http://progressive.stream.aol.com/aol...._dl.mov http://progressive.stream.aol.com/aol...._dl.mov BTW, the game is being developed by the Collective and being published by Lucasarts. Lucasarts is not making this game. Also, about the movie, the mpaa rated it PG-13 for sci-fi violence and some intense images. ... finally.. Â Â
SFWanabe 0 Posted April 15, 2005 I hope they make some more star wars RPGs and trash SWG. I got SWG and there are like so many smacktards that it makes MP on BF1942 remotely fun. Also the people who become Jedis are like "Bow to me bitch for I am Jedi which means I'm the pimp and your my bitch."
honchoblack 2 Posted April 15, 2005 X-wing Alliance brings back memories, that was really a good game, a friend and i played it together, i was flying, and he managed the shields and other stuff, it was the only game we did it, it was great fun, played through the whole game in a couple of days How could i forget
SFWanabe 0 Posted April 15, 2005 Yea I used to stay up all night playing the X-Wing and TIE Fighter games dude. They rock.
pajama 0 Posted April 16, 2005 Yes, if you play XWA, check this out... http://www.xwaupgrade.com/ It replaces most of the old game models and such. I wish some one would combine Freespace, I-War, and Tie-Fighter and make a uber super space sim to end all sims:p You got the cool ships from Star Wars, the interface of I-War, and the narative and atmosphere of Freespace. A godly combanation! hhmmm OFP Penny Arcaders should form a group or somthing.

ruff 102 Posted April 16, 2005 jedi knight 2 hands down i loved that freaken game luke skywalker being your trainer/equal light saber fights/ death grips/multiple force push and pulls pulling multiple guns out of your enemies!!!!!!!!!that was the sickest second was the force push, pushing your sith wannabes out of out of bridges, but light saber fights man, those were hours of fun
pajama 0 Posted April 16, 2005 Bah, Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight 1 was much better. The game's scale and height can give you vertago!
Ex-RoNiN 0 Posted April 16, 2005 Rebellion kicked butt, one of the best space strategy games I usually lost the battles unless I outnumbered the enemy 3-1, but it was great fun nonetheless :P
da12thMonkey 1943 Posted April 16, 2005 Dark Forces, DF2: Jedi Knight (including the expansion pack: Mysteries of the Sith) and JK: Jedi Outcast were great games, and I'm with Pajama that DF2 was the best of the bunch because of its atmosphere. Strange thing is that I ended up with the game by accident of sorts, when I bought my first PC for when I moved out of my parents' house, the bloke I got to put all the components together said he'd throw in a couple of free games with it, one of the games I asked for was Rebel Assault II an awful game but I was yet to embark on my journey into the world of true PC gaming; before that I'd only played on consoles, my Amiga (not really what I'd class as a PC since it had no HDD and I just used it like a games console) and my friend's PC games that were limited to Id's works such as DooM and Wolfenstein, and I wasn't really that heavilly into computer games on the whole anyway, so I didn't know, much less cared whether it was shite or not. Fortunately he mistook my request for that of Jedi Knight (which was brand spanking new at the time) so when I booted my new PC up for the first time I found DF2 there and man was it good, because of that I can't actually remember what the other games I asked the bloke for were. After completing it a few times I went out and bought the previous game too. JK: Jedi Academy was pretty bloody crap though, even though it had the same gameplay as Jedi Outcast but with customisation options and one or two vehicles (that handled badly), there was nothing epic about the storyline and the levels were unimaginative. Knights of the Old Republic is definitely my favourite Star Wars game though, one of my favourite games of all time in fact. The gameplay wasn't that especially good but the way the story came to life throught the way relationships developed between the main characters was great, the only game I've felt that came close to similarly achieving this was Illusion's Mafia, so it has stuck in my mind as a rather uniq playing experience. For some reason I've not gone and got the Sith Lords though, no idea why, I'm just not ready to devote hours into gaming at the moment I suppose, I know that'll happen if I get KotOR 2. The only X-Wing game I've played was Alliance, I think I traded it with a mate of mine for Delta Force 2. I liked it a lot but stopped playing it before I finished it (I think I went back to console gaming for a while). As a reasonably big fan of Star Wars I'll tell you that the games generally miss the mark more often than not, and this new Episode III game looks pretty awful so odds are that it will suck. Aparently the Lego Star Wars game is pretty nice though (according to a buddy of mine), I guess because it's not taking itself so seriously, by having diddy little lego-men running about with lightsabers, so you can get away from the stigma of the license a little. Yes Knights of the Old Republic was da shizzie. Knights of the Old Republic 2 was great in terms of gameplay but the story was just a tad confusing.Quote[/b] ]The only X-Wing game I've played was Alliance, I think I traded it with a mate of mine for Delta Force 2. Alliance was never ported to console no, what I meant was that I never finished the campaign in X-Wing Alliance because I decided to play console games instead. IIRC I think my attention probably switched to my Sega Dreamcast; Shenmue in particular (Shenmue's a great game btw).
