I don't know what to think of this.

If you want to honor the fallen in the war on terror, then I think there should be every nation involved mentioned.

Not just Americans (I have nothing against Americans).

No offence.

Life is a life, no matter where it came from. I'd rather consider families than nations. They are the one's who pay the highest price of all.

I can say that you are dead wrong.

We still remember our WWII time soldiers killed in terrorist style by NKWD (Narodnyj Komissariat Wnutriennich Diel).

Our civilisation progress helps us remember better and longer.

Try remembering the names of innocent civilians killed in this "war" too... Or has anyone even kept a record of them?

If like 5000 people had died in world war 2 no-one would remember it all.

Until we're spotted then...

@LP4Life

While his statements may seem a little crude to you, Eizei has somewhat of a point.  I think that there is a good proportion of people who unless they were directly effected by an incident, or unless the death toll was high enough to burn into your memory, these people need to be reminded.

To the topic at hand.  Most of us (At least the people I know) honor and hold the highest respect for members of the armed servies.  Thank you for posting this, it's nice to see the names of the people who died server.  Granted it is only the American side, if anyone has URL's to any sites of other countries with listing like this, it would be great too.

One LIst

I found this one list. I believe it lists the other coalition deaths for Iraq. I'm still looking for Afghanistan.

I doubt a list of civilians is going to be easy or even possible to find unfortunately.

EDIT: I wonder if it is possible for someone to make a database or list from the above links (that at some point might go down) and host it or make an image out of it.

Google found this list, very incomplete if you compare it to this database of the body count...

Whoever decides to take up the database will have a lot to work on.

Thanks Kegetys.

Well I beileve that they gave they're lives to bring freedom to both Iraq and Afganistan so let us not forget the price they paid.

Actually 90% of the casualties occoured in Iraq, were US soldiers died because they were decived in thinking the country had Weapons of Mass Destruction and ties with terrorism thus beliving they were protecting their country where in fact it was quite the opposite, they started a war that allowed terrorism to flurish and stain US credibility in the world.

They were also part of an unwanted occupying force, hated by the Iraqis of which an overwhelming segment supported the attacks that ended their lives.

So what's the purpose of this thread debating wise other then "flag waving with a support our troops dare not to ask questions that could desegrade our brave fallen ones" warning to it.

There are only a small number of Iraqis who dont want us there and there were WMDs and you are flamebaiting and degrading the memory of the fallen so please unless you have something postive to say dont post in this thread.
