Updated Eagle

I've updated the F-15C with the eject scripting and rolling

wheels, as well as model tidy-ing, new textures and shine effects:

2 colour schemes - Standard grey, and the mod scheme shown

above. 4 AIM-9, 6 AIM-120 (with proximity detonation) and

gun.

Bugs:

1. Landing gear wheels easily become invisible in 3rd person view.

2. Tried taking off from Nogova runway. Start at location of taxi lane entry to runway. Unless I put on the afterburners, it overpasses the runway before taking off, sometimes crashing.

Questions:

1. What's a "mod" scheme? rock.gif

2. There's a lot of haze/reflection/cloudiness in the canopy. Can that effect be lowered, so that there's a clearer view through the glass?

Avon - I'll check the gear disappearance (it's probably a bug

introduced by the rolling wheels changes) and modify the 'internal'

cockpit glass.

The take off roll-out is a little long, but that's partly what the

AB is for. Are you hitting 'W' or 'E'? I'd recommend the latter.

Neither. Flying by mouse, with the forward arrow key and flaps all the way down.

Is UpArrow run or _sprint_? There is a difference during take-off.

(BTW - The addon should work 'as is' in VBS)

Switched the UP arrow to FAST FORWARD - the "E" key.

Now it just manages to get the rear gear off the ground at the very end edge of the runway. Very tight. I haven't seen another plane addon with such a long takeoff path.

Question:

Will that drop tank ever become droppable?

I'll adjust the take-off run - it's a consequence of the high

maximum speed of the plane, so there's not a lot of 'room' for

adjustment, but I'll see what I can do.

Droppable drop tanks? If I get time I'll do it. If I don't, I'll just

remove it completely - you can't miss what you haven't got wink_o.gif

One more thing: shouldn't you be moving all of your planes over to a new RKT AIR class, instead of directly under OFP's default AIR class?

Once the 15E and Tomcat are released, I may push them (and the

F-16 and A-6) into an 'RKT - US Air' group.

and i'd prefer a complete pack with all the newest versions in it, cause sometimes the new files are smaller than the old ones, and if you have three versions of one plane dl-ed (with no readme sometimes) it gets very hard to find out what the newest one is

about that cockpit reflections thingy, i think when TomiD retextured your planes he did make an excellent job on that matter, as the cockpit glass reflects light, but the aiming part of the glass has very good visibility.

Hi, i haven't try this F15, but in the pic looks very good; what i'll like to see it's a USMC F4E in a Marines camo scheme. And... why don't you make all the planes have the same or at least similar handling to the F-117? it flyes amazingly well, if all the planes had that same or closer handling... we could even thik in use 'em in MP; there'r a good number of addon planes that look very well, that look great in the runway or that serve to take fanzy screenshots. But they'r not flyable in MP, u can turn & dodge the SAMs or the ZSU's/MT-ZSU's fire with 'em, u can't recover from a dive, u can't aim the iron bombs & all that... . & well... will be great if the planes will be so easy of fly like that F117; this is the OFP, who wants a flight sim, could buy the LOMAC. Let's cu.

Hmm the changes seem minimal i guess i'll wait for the final , i also want a F-15E though biggrin_o.gif

Oh and didnt the F-15 already have shine effects on it? This is a pic of the old one.

I have 2 questions, 1 can I stil use the E version when I download this C version. 2 why dont you make an option that the canopy can open and close, that would be need smile_o.gif also for the F-14 and F117 wink_o.gif

Btw I like your models very much biggrin_o.gif so dont think I've only got comment on them cause they're very cool, but they would be much cooler if you changed these little things.

and btw when you make the E version update, plz make the canopy a little bit lower, it's a little bit to high and to big biggrin_o.gif

Tomislav - The latest version of each addon is shown at

www.footmunch.org.uk - if the addon is not listed there, it's a

beta version, so it could change at any moment.

Newer versions being smaller isn't necessarily a bad thing, as it

usually means I've managed to tidy up the texture library, or

binarized the p3d.

Bonko - It's just laziness on my part that allowed it to happen. I

used the same glass texture on the outside glass as on the

inside, so it gets the same shine applied. I'll correct this.

Wip - And we're back to the handling tounge_o.gif . I try to make the

planes fly in a reasonable manner, but often come down on the

'joystick' side of things. Mea culpa. I'll bump up the flight model

a little.

Ace - I don't think the 15C/E had shine - maybe it was a 3rd

party extension in that shot, or just a well chosen camera

angle?

Harmed - I don't _think_ this addon interferes with the old

C/E beta, but I can't be sure. The _new_ F-15E will be a

separate pbo file, so the combined C/E pbo will be obsolete at

that point.

What is it with you people and openable canopies? smile_o.gif. I'll try to

add it tonight.

this addon just replaces the old F15C (exept the old desert version i belive)

it doesnt overwrite the old PBO though.
