I LOVE klendathu drop. Took me a long time before I finally found it in MP3 format (completely legal btw, if any of the mods is wondering). I just the drop-scene where they run toward the boats and they all launch. Reminds me; I have to put Starship Troopers on my 'what-to-buy-when-getting-my-paycheck-dvd-list' smile_o.gif

I also like the theme song from the movie Armageddon.

Hmm... speaking of classic music...

Imperial March (in case of massive troop deployment)

Klingon Imperial Theme (in case of aggressive assaults)

"The Last of the Mohicans" Main Theme (in case of lone-wolf-sneak-in-blow-up-get-out)

@der bastler;

Yes, that seems to be the site. I didn't remember it anymore, but that is indeed it. As you can see; it's up for DL totaly legal (AFAIK).

I also noticed 'The hunt for the red october'. Is the same as the one you mean, Lukemax.

And yes; I you are correct about the SST-mod. I'm looking forward to it, but that's off-topic in this off-topic thread tounge_o.gif

Speaking of Basil Poledouris, the "Hymn to Red October" is one of my favourite military themes. Goes well along with the Red Army Choir's rendering of the Soviet national anthem.

The theme that I'm most fond of however - one that IMO is way above all the rest - is the title theme of "Where Eagles Dare"

The Carmina Burana (at least the first part of it) in the background of a battle cutscene is always a good idea.

Another one; The very short themesong for the mini-series Space Above & Byond.

I liked the series and I love that short themesong.

Try Symphony Nr. 9 "From the New World" - we have chosen some parts to appear in CSLA Mod... Classical music offers much when you know where to search.

Regarding "Hymn to Red October", I was stunned by the whole R. O. soundtrack, but was rather disappointed by the way it was used in the movie - when the music suggests showing the sub slipping through the dark waters or express the might of the nuclear submarine, the movie offers some plain scenes inside the sub... However, it's still one of my favourite movies.

Never heard that one Avon.

Another good movie-theme is the themesong of the film Warriors (about bosnia). Good movie too.

Johnny Cash- The Man Comes Around (good for airplane missions. Nothing like the idea of me being the rider of the "pale horse with hell following me .")

Enemy at the Gates Crossing the Volga

Vangelis - Conquest of Paradise

Tan Dun - Hero - Chess Court

Thin Red Line - Journey to the Line

And, like a couple others, the Starship Troopers ones.

I usually have one of these playing when I have 'my' OFP army marching. Thanks to WYW's Opfor, I have my own personal Olive Drab army! The Draconian Guard, Per Ardua Ad Astra!

Tle live rendition of "Children of the Grave" from Black Sabbath's Reunion CD.

Offspring's Bad Habit is good for tank battles

And pretty much anything by Rage Against The Machine when playing the Resistance campaign smile_o.gif.

I like "Gortoz A Ran - J'attends" and "Leave no Man behind" from BHD OST by Hans Zimmer.

Mozart

Dies Irae

My favorite Mozart work, another very good idea for really epic battle cutscenes.

When I play with the FDF soldiers, I enjoy playing Monty Python:

Finland, Finland, Finland,

The country where I want to be,

Pony trekking or camping,

Or just watching TV.

Finland, Finland, Finland.

It's the country for me.

You're so near to Russia,

So far from Japan,

Quite a long way from Cairo,

Lots of miles from Vietnam.

Finland, Finland, Finland,

The country where I want to be,

Eating breakfast or dinner,

Or snack lunch in the hall.

Finland, Finland, Finland.

Finland has it all.

You're so sadly neglected

And often ignored,

A poor second to Belgium,

When going abroad.

Finland, Finland, Finland,

The country where I quite want to be,

Your mountains so lofty,

Your treetops so tall.

Finland, Finland, Finland.

Finland has it all.

Finland, Finland, Finland,

The country where I quite want to be,

Your mountains so lofty,

Your treetops so tall.

Finland, Finland, Finland.

Finland has it all.

Finland has it all.

Great song Blackdog biggrin_o.gif.

I personally like stuff from the movie Blackhawk Down. The start of the attack had very well done music smile_o.gif.
