Irish Interim troops

Recommended Posts

Oh and welcome Red Devil to the project he's got the dual roles of config'ing the troop pack and tutoring me in the art.

Er Bazzer, read the rest of the thread re: the helmet issue.

Update: Our PIII is ingame but needs a new turret and turret well model as well as textures to match the body of the vehicle.

The Truck and helicopters are still awaiting a texturer.

The Soldier and Special forces models are nearing completion.

Thanks again to all who have helped out.

Well, this is it. I am passing over everything ive done to Imshi, its now out of my hands. In 12 hours i will be travelling to Heathrow and in 16 hours i will be taking my last steps on the ground of the UK for 6 months wow_o.gif

This marks the end of my involvement in the IRDF pack, i have enjoyed working on it, and i urge people to support Imshi in it by any means possible. Good luck mate, and hope to be able to blow stuff up with some nice Irish soldiers when i return wink_o.gif

Well, the bare bones of the pack are well in place at this point, largely thanks to Pathy and Red Devil, I now have two other texturers at work on other elements of the pack.

What is really needed right now is an experienced modeller, there isnt much to be done, probably only a couple of hours work in all, fabricating a turret and turret well (the BIS m113 welll will actually do just fine) and correcting the mass of the overall model.

thanks

We still need a modeller to convert the Swissmod Piranha hull with this turret.

And a reasonably experienced texturer for these two aircraft, we have models for both.

I once saw an IAC Cessna texture screenshot on a download. when I downloaded the plane though, there was no texture, just a plane with no texture at all!

This download is what I'm on about. It doesn't work on my game, but take a look at the .jpg included.

How about re-texturing a Cessna into IAC liason colours?Personally I'd prefer a green IAC cessna, as that's the colour they're at now.

On what's done so far, good going and give yerselves a pat on the back! I'm very impressed so far, and I can't wait to be blowin' seven shades of shenanigans out of Fenian Irish Army troops (Take that ya 'ra ba****d!)

I'm just trying to think how the hell are the 'ra going to get their hands on T-55s?

We're stretched fairly thin, and a Cessna Retex isnt really vital or likely to get much use, just use on of the black dark green 172s already out there. wink_o.gif

I'm sure this is going to be a harder job to do, but here's a few more suggestions as to what can go on into later Irish mods

Pilatus PC-9

PC-9 gun and rocket pods

And this one is for modellers only since the Air Corp are getting them next year, and they haven't decided on the paint scheme yet!

You mean a PC-9M like this?

PC_9Expeditionary.jpg

AB139 Deliveries dont start till 2006 and as I said we dont have enough capacity as it is, nevermind spare.

*after seeing Cessna post*

I see. Well, if I can figure out how to texture, I might do it myself.

*just saw PC-9 pics*

VERRRRY impressed! I can't wait!

Alright, if I can get the time together, I'll learn texturing and redo a green Cessna into IAC colours

And whadayamean it won't be used?

Nope, troop models are done, Weapons just need a little work and Drill Sergeant's permission.

Configs are underway for troops and weapons.

Vehicles are the main hold back and what we really need are good vehicle texturers.

Right Folks,

Bit of an anouncement, I've started a new job that wont allow much online bludging time so I'll be around a lot less.

The Team will not be stopping their work, but there may be a delay in the project due to my absence as a coaxer encourager and alround mister fixit.

In the meantime keep the offers of help coming, we'd still like to have more texturers and mission makers , and if any modellers have nothing better to do and want a few big projects (or have vehicles or bits of kit used by the IRDF already made)....we're always open to expanding our remit biggrin_o.gif

Fantastic!

If it sounds as good as it looks, then we're on to a winner!

Each and every one of you, keep up the good work!

Perhaps some brighter shots would be better. Those pictures are a bit dark and hard to see the troops wink_o.gif.
