Bobcatt666 0 Posted December 18, 2004 Funny Sigma6 made T90s that I've been using for nearly 2 years now and due for update by RHS. =P I think having a choice over the defualt T80 is cool as well seeing Sigma6 did it also, I loved Vilas BMPs, shame he didn't reduce them size of them to the correct size. vilas 477 Posted December 18, 2004 why another T80 ? i will tell You WHY: almost all tanks all painted in camouflage pattern, but Sigma did only green T80 and i want to make mission pack, all players who have my addons know that i like do something looking like real thing, not  typical comics texture, but texture from photo so i made it stricte for my missions what about mirror ? i thought that this is fast ... maybe you don't know but here in Poland my connection is 128 kB/s, so sending island rar file to FTP took me over 1.5 hour... my connection is about 16 kbytes/s, i know that You have better connection and last thing, i am trying to make things from year 1985 up to 1991, during "wind of change" and i do not do things like T90, i do things that are in real armies of that time... but thanx all for downloading my addons, it is really big thing when after few weeks of hard work someone says that he likes my addons, it pays for all time spent by PC Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

vilas 477 Posted December 18, 2004 my bmp is only reskin of BIS model, it is in MLOD, so You can do what You want i have such "philosophy" on OFP, it is only game that is open source and players can change and do addons, so i do not think in the way "fucking permission needed" my work can be changed if someone see something that is not real.... game is for fun, not for make someona angry, so if You like to rescale, first of all You must rescale my 2S1, it it too big too, BY THE WAY great appeal to all IF YOU HAVE YOUR OWN BUILDING ADDON send my by e-mail to revol333@go2.pl i need markets, shops, kiosks with newspapers textures of kiosk, i don't have photo camera, in the internet i didn't saw good enogh photos of shop, i want to make POLSKA island more real, without shops it looks not good, but i cannot place in middle europe objects from middle east Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

One small thing though...some may take offense on the "permission" thing, though i know u dont mean it offensively, probably got corrupted in the translation i guess. Some folks will be generous, some not, not because they are selfish, but probably they take great pride in their work and would be heartbroken to see their efforts and work mangled by amatuers like me!!! So lets repect them and thanks them for providing us free addons whether they give permission or not, and for those who gladly share knowledge, remember them and see if u can pass on the knowledge, for knowledge shared = overall improvement - 2 heads are better than one. Przezdzieblo 0 Posted December 20, 2004 I do understand that bulding a model from scratch (this T80 is?) is far more difficult that just remodeling existed addon. But, IMHO, the main problem with T80s in OFP (BIS`s, Sigma-6`s and your, vilas) is that there are... far from perfect (old Sigma-6`s models are still the best for today). In vilas` T80 there is few major model bugs, that, again IMHO, makes this model only "look like T80 only a little and from 100 meters". And I do not mean it`s camo. I would not say any model of any modeller is a crap. I do not want to offense anybody, or make him discouraged. I just want to play with models that are as realistic as possible, without major form bugs. In vilas` T80 case I hope that author of it will make it as good as his rifles addons... vilas, gdybys zamierzal pogrzebac jeszcze przy tym modelu i potrzebował swiezego spojrzenia w celu ustalenia co nalezy zmienic a co zostawic, daj znac. pogingwapo 0 Posted December 22, 2004 I don't check the flashpoint.ru forums but I am not sure if it is the same maxpayne I had a chat with at www.drf-mod.com Back then I was asking them Russians what is the T72 addon released that looks closest to the real T72. Then maxpayne said no addonmaker ever made a t72 that is close enough to the real thing. Not even the CSLA T72 or Sigma's T72. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
