Recommended Posts

this brings back memories smile_o.gif

how stupid\innocent can a curious young boy be  biggrin_o.gif

at 13 i learnt how to do pipe bombs and rockets (that flew quite well i might add) out of herbicide and ***** , you would be amazed at how easy and simple it is to create a bomb big enough to make a bigass crater using a combination of harmless and very legal components, needless to say, i didnt sell them at school  crazy_o.gif

The majority of my family and friends for whom I've grown up around all had 'adventurous' childhoods… We all blew things up, made weapons, killed insects, birds and the occasional furry little creature, and had a ball of fun doing it.

I don't think that in this case, it's a 'blame the parents' scenario. The chances are, the parents had no clue of what their kid was up to, and I have to admit, by the age of 13, my parents didn't either! tounge_o.gif

The rules to my childhood freedom were simple: Don't hurt anyone, don't kill yourself, don't break anything you can't fix and don't do anything too stupid.

This kid broke the last rule of the set of rules my parents gave to me. The only constructive punishment available is a: 'What the hell were you thinking?....Don't ever do it again!' talk from his parents, followed by a grounding. The school should only suspend the student if this is a 'first offence'.

Expulsion, sending the kid to a correctional school, laying criminal charges, and going so far as to arrest a kid for a first offence is bureaucratic, PC madness at its best.

In the case of public vs private schooling. I went to both. Primary school at the public area school, high school at a private Catholic college.

The joke at high school was, the only difference between us and the kids who went to the public high school was, they take drugs, we only sell them, just like jesus would want it to be! (Religious Education was just a bludge lesson. It was not intended to be taken seriously, and was barely taught in a 'sermon' type way) Otherwise, we were just as good/bad as each other. tounge_o.gif

I agree. There is not really much difference between the two types of schools. Yes, i have seen that the better teachers do usually go to Private schools, but luckly here (england) theres not too many private schools around by me, so we got alot of good teachers too.

On the note of blowing stuff up. I think this kid i knew would of violated one of your rules ozanzac. He made his own grenade, took it to a party, got drunk, Pulled the pin and blew off all but his little pinky on his left hand - luckly it didn't work completely and only blew off his fingers!

you think thats bad? read this...
Quote[/b] ]PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A 10-year-old girl was placed in handcuffs and taken to a police station because she took a pair of scissors to her elementary school.

School district officials said the fourth-grade student did not threaten anyone with the 8-inch shears, but violated a rule that considers scissors to be potential weapons.

Administrators said they were following state law when they called police Thursday, and police said they were following department rules when they handcuffed Porsche Brown and took her away in a patrol wagon.

"My daughter cried and cried," said her mother, Rose Jackson. "She had no idea what she did was wrong. I think that was way too harsh."

Police officers decided the girl hadn't committed a crime and let her go.

However, school officials suspended her for five days. Administrators will decide at a hearing whether she may return to class, or be expelled to a special disciplinary school.

The scissors were discovered while students' belongings were being searched for property missing from a teacher's desk.

School district officials have promised a crackdown on unruly students this year, and new policies give administrators the power to expel students for infractions as minor as violating the dress code, chronic tardiness or habitual swearing.

Administrators say the steps are needed to regain control over a notoriously unruly school system, but some parents have complained that discipline has been overly harsh and that school officials have been too quick to call police about minor problems.

Nah! Stupid little men trying to excert authority over children, thinking it is their OWN little world. They should get tranferred to north Alaska. sad_o.gif

The good thing about people as stupid as this guy(WTF did he need bombs for?), is that they are dumb enough to do something that will obviously get them caught.

We have a problem called Chav in England, mostly caused by horrendous/non-existing parenting.

I concur... most the chavs/pikeys/wankers who I see

A) have a father whose about 25

B) never speak to their parents

C) threaten to stab me, then run off when I get into a fighting stance
