Billabong81 0 Posted November 26, 2004 I am wondering where you can make your own version of these little web links buttons I am seeing everywhere. Many people have them in their signatures (ie, many FDF mod members) and some companies have them (ie, firefox/mozilla). Here are some examples: Any help would be greatly appreciated . Thanks in advance.

Harnu 0 Posted November 26, 2004 Start with an 80 pixel by 15 pixel blank canvas. Use a 1 pixel pencil to make a border around it with your primary color. Then change to your secondary color and do another one pixel border inside of that. The Left box on the inside of it (For pictures or other letters) is 23x11 pixels (Primary color). A one pixel border to the right of it, and then color in the rest of it with your primary color. Use Text to fill in what you want it for.
Billabong81 0 Posted November 26, 2004 Thanks a lot Harnu . Â Help is very much appreciated . EDIT: Ok, so I made the outside borders, now have just 1 Q. How do I count the pixels to make the more inner boxes where text is?
Harnu 0 Posted November 27, 2004 What program are you using to edit them? If it's photoshop you can set your brush to the pixel size, and zoom in very close and you'll be able to see.
Billabong81 0 Posted November 27, 2004 Yea, Photoshop CS. How far in do I need to zoom in? Over 1000%
Harnu 0 Posted November 27, 2004 800% Open a new one, 80x15 pixels, set the background to transparent (Makes PS easier for certain things IMO), and when at 800%, each gray or white box represents a single pixel. It's really not that hard to do, what's the complication with it?
cobra@pulse 0 Posted November 27, 2004 Why not just use stoke?
Smartti 1 Posted November 27, 2004 Kjäh kjäh... Getting so popular here? If you want the "original font" - Silkscreen - to skip pain of pixel-by-pixel painting, you can get it from Jason Kottke's site. He's also author of the font and shares it as freeware. Adam Kalsey offers on his site simple Button Maker form to create same buttons in seconds. Just fill in color values, texts etc. and you're ready.
