Unfortunately the British armed forces are currently under-represented in OFP, so there's not much to choose fro,.

Try these links for decent UK stuff:

Project UK Forces

(A top notch DPM soldier and Landrover pack)

1982: Flashpoint in the Falklands

(Sea Harrier with VTOL scripts, beta version of the old Hermes and som Argie stuff to fight with)

Decisive Killing Machines

(Beta UK Armour Pack)

In addition you have the Campańa de Malvinas Mod, but they are unfortunately placed on the East side. This easily fixed by editing the configs. (They have released betas of their Paras, Choppers, Argie mech. Inf. and SAS/SBS)

Ya right. rock.gif

Maybe under represented compared to Russia or the US but there's quite a few addons and they are of decent to great quality as well.

I can get a lot of common US aircraft, vehicles, weapons and troopsfrom Vietnam to now, some of which have been done multiple times by multiple people. Most are very well-made. I also have (or have had at some time) a good selection of Japanese units, Russian units, Canadian units, German units, Finnish units, Swedish units, Czech units and French Units. Most of these packs included helicopters, tanks, various infantry weapons and different sorts of troops, and they were all very well made.

Now, high-quality British gear: I have two British aircraft (FLK Sea Harrier and Tornado), one pack of infantry (UKF) and some Land Rovers (also UKF). I'd call that pretty under-represented.

There's a DKM Brit armour/vehicle pack which has a lot of units as mentioned already above.

I'd call it just not looking very hard.

I'll keep my opinions of the DKM pack to myself for the sake of Jaguar's blood pressure. But hey, we'll agree to disagree. Even if I am right tounge_o.gifwink_o.gif

where you see side=TEast change it to side=TWest; and you will have the helicopters on the western side.... Be warned you need to change the pilot too unless you change the whole crew to say PUKF infantry pack but that would be crap in the respect that Infantry dont fly helicopters

Yes you need to open up the pbo, you can't get at the config file otherwise.

To change the crew you need to find the part of the config that says "crew=" and change the name after that to the classname of the unit you want to crew the thing.

Give 'em a AAC beret (no. 7 using the fantastic UKF beret system) and a handgun and they'll do as a nice substitute. The assault vest blokes look pretty good as pilots.

Actually, AAC units in the field (back when we were facing the Russian Bear in NW Germany) used to keep a standard GS very-dark-blue beret in their kit for when not wearing kevlar. Or if on exchange from RAF/RN, we'd wear our own parent-service headgear. I do agree, though, that its more realistic to have AAC/ RN Junglie/ RAF SH helicopter crews wearing DPM as that's what is usually used out of barracks.

Just to clairy, it's not actually the AAC beret, it's just the same colour (as opposed to latter berets in the pack, which depict actual infantry regiments), so it works as a perfectly good substitute. smile_o.gif
