Gonna translate it into russian and release as my own work   j/k!!! yes, translate it!  Ok, I gonna translate PDF file and tutorial messages. Can u help me a little? where all tut messages r stored? P.S. Is it possible that u will define them in stringtable.csv in next release?
raedor 8 Posted October 2, 2004 P.S. Is it possible that u will define them in stringtable.csv in next release? that's what i'm saying to everyone for years now... but people don't respect that it seems
void_false 1 Posted October 2, 2004 Quote[/b] ]Can u help me a little? where all tut messages r stored?  Well, I figured it out by myself.  Shitload of work todo  EDIT: After 0.5 hours of translating i found that standart windows' text editors sux  Quote[/b] ]Note: some subjects require a restart of the mission, to make sure the according demonstration is working properly, resp. the suppositions are met. 343rdBadger 0 Posted October 2, 2004 Just finished the tutorial..was a bit tough goin..but I got through.Couple things I wanted to ask.First,in the waypoint part of the tut,...you say the preplan waypoints in the bottom waypoint window can be deleted using the "delete plan" button?...I couldn't find this button Second,...when instructing a unit to fire upon an enemy or friendly/neutral unit....how do you tell it to stop The waypoint thingy was a bit rough ,but by goin over the tut a few times it should become more clear.Would be cool if it could be made a bit more simplistic(if possible??).The call center killed me...that IMO needs more layman terms for someone like me to understand better...but again that comes with experience I guess. All in all...cool setup...loads of potential.Especailly in the context of a "game master"or "Head to head " perspective.Great editor...but even more interesting is its use as a dynamic battle field creator IMO. shinRaiden 0 Posted October 4, 2004 From the BIS comref: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE"> localize stringName Operand types: stringName: String Type of returned value: String Description: Replace string with given name by corresponding localized text from stringtable.csv. Example: localize "STR_DN_FROG" Aside from that, a wonderful tool. The best part is how little load it adds, extremely responsive. This would be a great starting point for a new battalion/company command system. Also, the the code structureing and flow is superb.

This would be a great starting point for a new battalion/company command system. Also, the the code structureing and flow is superb. This is exactly what im thinking...one thing it really needs though is the ability to recognise the taking of units off the map and then places back on,triggered by player presence, inorder to create large battlefields without the frame hit.I tried it with ron spiers commander mission...mixed with a trigger that removes all units from the map them puts them back on as you trigger them....it didn't see the units under that umbrella trigger for some reason? And if you try it without those triggers,...the frame hit is too great. If this was polished a bit more and could add a quicker means of waypoint placement(ie ron speirs method)..it'd be great as a "real time" battle planner. It seems we have all the elements in place...just spread out over a couple consoles.IE CoC,Ecp,Xcam, ron spiers missions etc etc...we need someone to take the best of all these and intergrate them into one "uber planner". IMO.We're almost there
USSRsniper 0 Posted October 5, 2004 lnice work... but how you save all you did in console? so when i exit and everything will be on map   or its only to see commands in action? and then add them in map?  Creating WW2 mission using this console beore that i was too lazy to make mission because you need to restart mission like 100 times
Evishion 0 Posted October 5, 2004 my english is to bad that i shall read all the 150 tut sides.. i came to 20 or something.. but have forgotten everything lol.. can someone tell me short what this really does ?
KeyCat 131 Posted October 5, 2004 Just tried out Xcam and all I can say is... - WOW! Awesome tool and kudos to Silola and everyone else involved... As mentioned before in this thread it would be really really nice to have something similar for human OPFOR in MP games. /Christer (a.k.a KeyCat)
KeyCat 131 Posted October 5, 2004 Just tried to use this great tool in one of my own missions and don't know if this is a bug or what? One of my east groups is using BRDM's and that group didn't showed up in the usual place for tanks, vehicles or units. Instead it showed up as "BRDM" under Userobjects? Couldn't select or view that group at all? All other groups worked just fine... Another very minor thing is that it shows as version 0.98 in the info box but 1.00 in the headline. Thanks again for translating this tool to english and sharing it with the rest of us! /Christer (a.k.a KeyCat)
void_false 1 Posted October 5, 2004 Holy cow!!! Finished! I’ve finished all the translations! 156 pages of tutorial + PDF… OMFG I can’t believe it… tears are falling from my eyes. And I can do nothing. Especially while reading credits. Guys thank you all for your great efforts. I need forum’s hug. Expect download link soon.

KeyCat 131 Posted October 5, 2004 Just an update on the BRDM issue.... I swapped the two BRDM's against two UAZ and everything worked OK so it seems XCam 1.00 don't detect BRDM's correctly. /Christer (a.k.a KeyCat)
