billybob2002 0 Posted September 13, 2004 http://www.comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=6360 Quote[/b] ]"I always thought of the 'Resident Evil' films as a trilogy," Anderson told The Hollywood Reporter. "The first film was a prequel to the game world. The new movie intersects the film and game worlds. And the third movie will act as a follow-up to the games. It's a nice arc -- prehistory, in-game and then a sequel to the games." Spoiler warning!!!! 1 2 3 4 5 6 [Rant] What the hell is he smoking!?!?!? Did he play Resident Evil 3 or even any of the games for more than a hour? He turns STARS in to the LAPD SWAT Team. Oliveira gets infected with the virus (bitten..) and not Jill? Nicholai is a good guy and is friendly with Jill!?! At least he gets killed by the dogs after his first talk with Jill. The two biggest insults (imho) was Nemesis turns in to a "good guy" at the end and Jill's part. She was basically second to Alice and Jill did not know about people turning in to zombies after being bitten or Umberella evil deeds for that matter. I could not tell why she was kicked off of STARS because the newspaper clips part moved too fast. Also, the kung-fu fighting between Alice and Nemesis was funny because Nemmy tried to kick Alice. However, I did like the Code Verionca stuff put in to the movie (the gun trick). At least Nemesis said STARS when be killed like 10+ STARS with his mini-gun or was it before he did the deed... So, Alice was basically the "good Wesker". STARS is not the same STARS has in the games. So, I do not think that other STARS members from the game do not exist in Anderson's world. Also, I think Anderson tried to make the "black guy" (forgot his name) STARS member "barry-like" but he gets killed by nemmy. Jill, Oliveira, Alice, LJ (he was funny.. "classic" Mike Epps), and Ashford's daughter (she also has "powers") escape on a helo. Also, Ashford dies. Alice gets capture at the end when their helo. goes down in the "famous mountains" but is resuced by the "Jill crew" at a Umbrella place. However, Alice is know controlled by Umbrella. Lastly, she now got psychic powers. THE END [/rant] Overall, it was a ok popcorn flick... Also, I wished the evil French division of Umbrella was in the movie... Charon-VW:BB- 0 Posted September 13, 2004 Did you watched the first part of Resident Evil, too? Hey i loved the story of the first resident evil game while a friend of mine was playing. There were some effects in this game which scared and shocked me (like those dogs which had nothing to do but jumping through a bloody window  ). So my expectation for the first movie looked the same: I went to the cinema to see the game as a real movie. And then the whole thing went wrong ... if i were one of the inventors of RE i would got to Mr Paul Anderson and kick his bloody A**. Hey he isn't too old to play RE so what the hell did he do? Did someone (who was on drugs) told him the storyline of RE and he wrote the script for the movie or what? It's the same with Alien vs. Predator. I only watched the trailer because the whole movie will be in cinemas in November but it's the same shit .... The game gives a very cool story idea and what the hack did he do again?! (Personal Message to Paul Anderson: Hey man sorry to say it this way but: Get your hands off movies which are based on games! Do comedys or something else!!) Back to topic: I think that i'll watch the second part of RE in the near future to get angry again P.s.: @billybob2002: http://subliminal.ytmnd.com/  <- this is really a crazy link LOL
SpongeBob 0 Posted September 13, 2004 Any cool guns in the movie. I'll only see it if there's cool guns in it.
Charon-VW:BB- 0 Posted September 13, 2004 Hmmmm perhaps some nice Heckler&Kochs, Berettas, Desert Eagles, Bazookas and theets ;)
Nemesis6 0 Posted September 13, 2004 I just hope, for the sake of all that is Resident, and evil, too, that this one will not be like its predecessor. As a fan, I can say that it sucked.
billybob2002 0 Posted September 13, 2004 Quote[/b] ]Hmmmm perhaps some nice Heckler&Kochs, Berettas, Desert Eagles, Bazookas and theets LJ did not even use his gold-plated desert eagles... Also, you forgot the M-4s (with their neat scopes and crap) that STARS and Oliveira's team used; shotgun (pump); sniper rifle (a modern one, do not know the name) used by that STARS member on the roof who got killed by the rocket launcher; and the revolver that the civil had. Anyway, my favorite zombies were the children and the nude strippers.... LJ was the best "character" in the movie hands down. Also, that woman who played Jill almost looked like the Jill in-game... Gordy 0 Posted September 13, 2004 Apparently, you don't get the idea. Hollywood ran out of ideas, so they took up games as a resource. They treat the stories as a source for a new movie giving it a known name. Roughly the same story, but different approach to it. I've seen the first RE and I liked it cause it was fun to watch. No worries of every-day problems and other depresing crap. I didn't care for the "keep-it-true-to-the-original" crap. I like Milla as a heroine, cause she's rough unlike other Holly-pussies. The RE movies were not bad but my RE-fanatic side was going apeshit during the movies. Milla was good in RE: Apocalypse but I think Mike Epps stole the show when he was on-screen with his humor. Frisbee 0 Posted September 14, 2004 I didn't care for the "keep-it-true-to-the-original" crap. I like Milla as a heroine, cause she's rough unlike other Holly-pussies. They had her karate-kick a zombie dog to death. Kick a zombie dog to death, by jumping off a wall. WTF? (I still hate those fuckers, try to run pas them but I'll gladly put them down with even my shotgun, wasting shells but I can't stand those dogs. ) It did properly recreate the whole atmosphere of the huge secret biological lab where noone knows what's going on. Have to see the second, if only for the facts that I love Resident Evil, and to see if they did the ravaged city mood good too. Thinking about it got me fired up to continue my RE2 knife-only game, I kinda let it hang when RE3 came out.
Acecombat 0 Posted September 14, 2004 Quote[/b] ]Kick a zombie dog to death, by jumping off a wall You only need to damage the spinal column of these creatures to de-activate them in a manner of speaking as their brain is then unable to send signals to the body. So she kicked the spine of the dog to pieces , result no more doggie
Frisbee 0 Posted September 14, 2004 So she kicked the spine of the dog to pieces , result no more doggie Jet Li, okay, Claire Redfield? Did she even know any martial arts? Our dog (who wasn't even a zombie dog survived being hit by a car without spinal injuries, so yeh. (That part just irked me, pay no attention to my ranting about ) Okay, Chris Redfield had been in branches of the military and law enforcement he couldn't have been at that age, but I mean come on. Personally I'm hoping Final Fantasy : Advent Children will be good, CG work looks yummeh.
red oct 2 Posted September 14, 2004 Meh, RE should have stayed on the PS/PS2. horror movies of today really suck. just thought everybody would like to know that. what ever happened to the good old stuff? Halloween, Friday the 13th, Hellraiser, and Nightmare on Elm Street those were the good ones. Bruce Cambell vs the Army of Darkness was pretty cool even though it was actually more funny than scary. Charon-VW:BB- 0 Posted September 14, 2004 Quote[/b] ]I didn't care for the "keep-it-true-to-the-original" crap If you call your movie after a well known game, book, original movie it would be better to go along the orginal storyline otherwise you disappointed many fans of the orginal game, book, orignal movie. Imagine someone would do a movie about OFP and you have a lot expectations about this movie to be like the game and then you watch it in your local cinema and you see a totally different story as in ofp. Many charatcers dont appear etc. What would you say? You have a movie which is called "Operation Flashpoint" and the story is like a low budget storyline? I would be really angry about it because my expectations were destroyed. That's it ... but if you didn't cared about the game and it's story before it won't bother you, that's right. billybob2002 0 Posted September 14, 2004 Oops..... Nicholai in the movie is not Nicholai from the game (confirmed by that website). Damn those Russian names.... I'm suprised that they posted a bio for Sgt. Peyton and not LJ....

Even if iam not a real fan of slipknot, some tracks are pretty cool and they fit nice to the mood of RE movies i think. P.S.: The only thing iam a real fan of are the masks of Slipknot. Yeah inhumanity
