Small ID

I have to write here, because i fed up people (noob?) saying i'm a cheater because of my ID. You all have to know i have my copy since the 1st day of release.

I know there is a lot of cheat around, but don't be paranoiac when you see my ID, which is 1110.

This is strange but i got those problem since 2 weeks. Before i didn't get any about my ID. So what happen in 2 weeks??

If someone from BIS could say something about my REAL ID I will appreciate.

Guess its cheater paranoia and overreacting. Thats what i was saying the whole time, that cheater hysteria is even worse than cheating itself. We have like 30 of those short ids in the log and afaik none of our admins is kicking those.

BTW: do you use another nick sometimes?

Yes but why it happen now?? I now some cheat are around since few week for the 1.96 version, but their fake ID it's like 250458789.

I don't use any other nick, only when friend or cousin play ofp i ask them to change the nick name

Yeah, but not every admin cares to inform himself. They only heard something like "strange id -> cheat" and kick without thinking. And as you said yourself, since maybe two weeks there is a kind of cheater paranoia going on

So what is the point here? There are people with short ids and there are servers where they get kicked. There is not much you can do about it. Just play on servers where you don't get kicked.

You have at least the smallest id in my logfile, the next one being 1567. But do you think that admins reading here would kick you? Because they should know this already. You were better off telling this to the admins that do kick you than those present here.

When I lag sometimes and I kill someone they say "Nice ID you have!" only in caps. I have 5 numbers ID. Bought the game a few days after the release.

same for me, they said nice fake ID Snip , or like today "this is not the server where u can cheat Snip" "u get cheat in your folder .... etc etc"

I have a 6 digit id, although i too bought the game when it came out. But i remember that swaf were the first clan players i saw on public servers (back in the pre v1.20 times when the game was not even out in the usa)

Lol, those were the days, only a handful of ofp servers available and you knew every other player after playing a few times...

Unfortunately, i was not abble to play online at the beginning, because no internet connection.

I just have one since march 2003, then i have been recruted by the [NHS] in June 2003. Even at this time i don't remenber someone speaking about my ID.

So what happen in one year? More new player on OFP? More "young player" ? may be

Will it be interesting to know wich number is the smallest ID?

In the last weeks cheater hysteria got bigger. Then there were news that id changers could generate fake ids, which were recognizable by their lenght (more than 10 digits). Some admins seem to be overreacting and kick every player with an id they consider "strange". And although your four digit player id is legit, you have to pay for the ignorance of some admins.

About the hysteria i remember it's not the first (and will not be the last), and it was more quiet when BIS launch their "last" patch.

Snip don't feel bad DK is banned from most OFP server for being good, so when all else fails start a game on your own server and kick the ones that accuse you.

These forums are not for people to be named & shamed, that includes admins/cheaters or any other disliked faction.

If you have a problem/issue with someone I can only suggest you take it up away from the forums in private directly with them.
