C4P741N 0 Posted July 23, 2004 I've done it many times. I had 3 FBI agents with crap guns, and now I have 12 with INQ weapons and SJB sidearms. I also used a plain black hummer and made them a car. Something like these: And a better-looking face shield: Also, has anyone re-arranged the beret on the soviet officer since it doesn't seem to fit well with the unit's head. Well they seldom run about with the sheild and just have letrs on the doors like on the roof. They still use UH1s, but slowly replaced them with UH60s. They get free from the us military when they circulate down through the system. All the other Fed agenceies get first dibs on Military hardwear when its no longer in use. I tried duplicating classes in philcommando's bodyguard addon but it won't work in the game. philcommando 0 Posted July 25, 2004 haha! that particular cpp file is bit tough cos it is crammed full with effects and i sure aint a tidy config writer! But technically, if u wanna make a new class of man, most of us usually inherit the soldierGB's characteristic..that way u wont go wrong. Dont try using just Man class alone..i tested it before and it CTD. The standard class cfg is:- class CfgVehicles { class All{}; class AllVehicles:All{}; class Land:AllVehicles{}; class Man:Land{}; class Soldier:Man{}; class SoldierGB:Soldier{}; class XXXX:SoldierGB whereby xxxx is the name of the unit addon u are making. I wanna learn too as I'm doing a retexture of the skidoo (that I already heavily tweaked concerning driving behaviour and sound - already working) but the reskinned skidoo crashes atm, so I'm interested if it's the textures or the classes in the config that are wrong. philcommando 0 Posted July 25, 2004 Thats the spirit, gabgab...never say die ...i would say 100% is your config that is in error, cos if its pic, even if u load high resolution 512X512 jpg files for 50 cylinders, the addon will still show up in desert island but with only lag. I would suggest u check every line by line against the original addon's config, cos just one missing ; or a driver doing what it isnt config to do will crash your addon.
