Mod questions

ok,i've been fooling around with a few MODs recently,and here's some probs i encountered.

1. In FDF mod,how do I change the radio message back to english? That's kinda annoying everytime my soldier reports something I have to look at the subtitles.Even russian soldier speaks finnish.. anyway,a wonderful mod through. If only somebody could tell me how to change the voice back,i'll definitely enjoy FDF more!

2. For ECP mod I got random resets on my computer,even if I disabled all the effects,it still mutes my sound card and reset my computer when I try to quit the game. This is a real bummer,i like ECP effects,someone help me out?

3. After countless resets,I uninstalled ECP and found out that all the INQ weapon was gone with it... Bad day for me... anyway,I wonder is there an INQ stand-alone config that will replace all the weapon in the game with INQ weapons?

My specs: P4 2.4C, Radeon 9800pro, SB Live! Value, XP with SP1

Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe you have to many addons. Are you using command "- nomap"? Or maybe you have damaged version of ECP. Try redownload

Here is the link for fixed INQ weapon pack(paa textured instead of laggy JPG]. Maybe JPG version of INQ weapon pack caused problem? Not sure of this. Tell me more about your Flashpoint configuration and ECP and i may be able to help you....

allso, check this topic to be able to get the configuration.

Use the weapons from Kuba's link, they perform better then the ones in the topic. The configuration bin is the same one.

Did you use ECP and FDF at the same time? I think that isn't a too god idea, cause you will have two different config files.

ECP:

Check the ECP_Settings.sqs. There you'll be able to activate or diactivate all effects manualy.

My ofp is a clear install,i dont have any addons,only ECP and INQ weapon pack.

The only command line parameter i applied are -nosplash and -mod=@ECP.

Though I tried to reinstall all OFP and ECP(redownloaded),the problem still occurs.

For my ECP config,I was using "high" for override setting,and all effect enabled,my computer keep randomly restarting.so i tried to disable all effects and "low" for override setting,still no luck...

btw,I installed OFP and ECP on my friend's computer with P4 2.6C,GeForceFX5600 and SB Live! Digital,he doesn't have this problem at all,could this be a sound card problem?

Try adding the -nomap parameter, it can help with problems caused by large addons.

Well, you could enable the single option for radio messages in the audio options.

A bit OT here, but i've been itching to say this:

The thing i like most about FDF Mod is the "annoying"

voice pack. And the muddy boots.

But specially those "sotilas, kaksi sata"s and "haavoittunut"s.

They crack me up. Wouldn't change it for the world..

Maybe you will be surprised, but personally i like this voices It makes mod more originnal, you are feeling like reall Finnish soldier. And their are quite nice recorded. Sorry for OT.

It changes the way that OFP loads addons, but that's pretty much all I know about it. I'm sure you could find a more detailed explanation in OFP: General or OFP: News .
