bmgarcangel 0 Posted June 20, 2004 I got two new pictures of the M1C Garand that I just finished. A little brief information about it: **M1C Garand / Sniper Varriant** The M1C, configured as above, was approximately 36 inches long, weighing almost 12 pounds. On the basis of Infantry Board tests of the M1E7 and M1E8 rifles, the M1E7 equipped with a two and one half power telescope was standardized in June 1944 as U.S. Rifle, Caliber .30, M1C (Sniper's). In order to assure meeting production requirements, the M1E8 was adopted in September 1944 as U.S. Rifle, Caliber .30, M1D (Sniper's), but except for a few prototype specimens the M1D was not produced during WWII, and would not properly be considered as a WWII infantry weapon. Relatively large numbers of standard M1 rifles were converted into M1D configuration during the early 1950's, but it was the M1C that was the principal sniping weapon for the American army in Korea. The Marines used the M1903A1/Unertl as its primary sniper rifle, partly because the M1C was in short supply during early action.

bmgarcangel 0 Posted July 6, 2004 I've heard some talk that we are using some weapons from some other games...well we are....right now the sks that offtime well found that bfv model was completely the same, its not. I used it as a blueprint so its so damned close but not quite there. M1A1 thompson is the same. I used the BF1942 one as a blueprint and it is so damned close to being the same model, but its not ........so finally, to clear things up i've going to release the reCorDs of what we have and who built it....... bucket man 2 Posted July 6, 2004 Very nice work. Im thinking that you should pay special attention to Chinese and North Korean troops. They have never been made in OFP and very little games are about Korean war. On the other hand theres about 5 different M1's, carbines and brobably 10 Thompsons. Almost forgot to pimp Footmunch in here as I have done in about every other mod thread. If you are going to make aircraft of the Korean war era you should ask Footmunch. He made very nice F-86 Sabre and MiG-17 that is easily modded to MiG-15. Hes been really helpfull for other mod teams like LoBo.

You guys do know that the Ak - 47 was used in the Korean War near the end by the Chinese troops and the remnants of the North Korean Military? Now to answering your questions & Comments! bmgarcangel 0 Posted July 6, 2004 Here is two shots now of the M1A1 Carbine that i also recently finished working on. Lt. Hunter built the folding stock!
bucket man 2 Posted July 6, 2004 I wasnt talking about different variations of those weapons. I meant that about 10 Thompons are already made in OFP etc... But as you have already made your own which by the looks of it surpass most of the other addons in quality its fine with me. Not that you need my permission to do something. Now about the airplanes. Are you planning to make some older russian aircraft like Yak-9 and Il-3? Both were used quite alot in Korean war. Altough Im not 100% sure about the numbers in those names. bmgarcangel 0 Posted July 6, 2004 Hey Thanks man, ya i still have to add something though to the M1A1 Thompson Sub-Machine gun......something to the right side that goes back and forth when shooting lol Oh and ya i know there is but ya......i've tried to use other ones before. One more thing guys........anyone know of a good ak-47 that i could use for the mod? ~Bmg
bmgarcangel 0 Posted July 11, 2004 Hey First i have to announce....yes...any rifle with bayonets featured on them in real life will carry an attachable bayonet i hope in the end for this mod was all about close quarter battles....this includes the early ak-47 which was featured near the end of the Korean War in the battles with the chinese carrying them...with a bayonet LOL..... I hope to get UKF's help on the bayonet business in our mod for the working bayonets they currently posses, well.....they are awesome! Here is a SVT40 that i've been working on. Â Originally it was from Upminders MOHAA weapons pack......well, he took it from MOHAA......but as you can see i've improved it alot from the Original version as you will see in the picture below.....now first off, the SVT40 is a Russian made Fully automatic and single shot rifle made in World War II by the well known Russian company, Tokarev. Â Bassically an improvement of the SVT38. Â After World War II all production on the weapon ceased in favor for other, better weapons. Â In the Korean War, Russia supplied these weapons to North Korean and the Chinese. Â If you would like to know more, please click on this link: SVT-40 Automatic Rifle Information Cheers! ~Bmg
