Upcoming lost brother addons

I'd like to get access to the H&K config myself just to do weapon changes or upgrade it for my own personal use.

Well all ya gotta do is de-PBO it and the .cpp file is there to edit.

But it would be nice to have a public release of a fully updated version as the HK pack is one of the best and most comprehensive weapon packs around.

sheesh with the btr-60, A4, Myst, Sinai V1.5 and allt he other things i might just go nuts..

lol

wait who in the middle east uses HK weapons?

aren't those kinda on the pricey side?

and to answer the question of area we are covering

from 60's all the way to present day and a little past..

Does anyone here have the arab face pack? I want to play Miles' old mission with the designated marksman weapons and I need that face pack to run it. If anyone has it could you please email it to me at

Actually for the older missions they will need the pack cuz in the DMS mission they're not fighting Egyptian troops but rather the BIS Resistance fighters with the arab faces simulating terrorists.

But on missions where I use Egyptian troops then yeah they won't need the arab face pack. But I haven't released any of those missions yet.

Gday again fellows

RE HK pack and Units..

Can we have permission to tinker with these a little.. and maybe alter for our own needs..

We'll give full acknowledgements in Readme and on site/forums.

Or should i try and track down ViperHeart when he is on leave??

Also.. not needed yet.. but if we would like to use the old units that noone made public a while ago.. is that OK?

He gave permission but I didnt want to tread on new toes..

Not as individual packs but as a part of one generic arabic pack.

Yeah, if you wanna use NoOne's old stuff, that's totally cool with us. As for the HK pack, that's Vipersheart's baby and really its not part of the LoBo Mod in any way except for the fact that Vipersheart made it and posted it up on the old LoBo site. It was actually more a part of that German mod that was out back then.

I actually asked him about the pack before along with some other stuff and he answered my questions about the other stuff but not about the HK pack.

But I'll email him again. I'm still trying to get a response from him about the LoBo stuff but so far not a word from him in the two weeks since I emailed him.

If nobody can get ahold of him, then...well I, or I doubt Calm Terror or Uziyahu would be upset if you used the HK stuff.

But basically its not really the LoBo's team's weapons pack so we can't really give or deny permission for others to use it.

I'll send another email to him about it. Hopefully by this weekend I'll get a reply.

What IDF units are being worked on? I saw the pictures for SARYET Golani and the naval SARYET dudes. I can assume there will also be regular infantry.

well you can assume anythign really

lol

yes normal infantry with arm patch changable

paratroopers and border guards.. tank crews and helo flight crews.

later I will add even more.

I have plans for a 60ish pack as well..

it is on hold till I finish up soem of the newer present day stuff..

if anyone has a suggestion on what other infatry units to include speak up and give me links to see weapons lay out patchs and uniforms etc..

WOw! Sweeet! We could definitely use those walls in our upcoming update of the Sinai map which will have a refugee camp!!! I wonder if you can blow them up. smile_o.gif

i used a translater..

since i can't write either arabic or hebrew..

so if there is a typo let me know..

and yes dead or alive you know them arabswould love to torture him..

lol

next will be bush..

then later i will do some in hebrew for arab leaders & terrorists

About the blowable walls Miles:

You cannot blow them yet - still have to think and discuss  about a decent solution for that. Imagine How bad it'll look when blowing up 10 pieces of 10 meter walls (dunno about the

lag factor in mp too). Maybe hidden selections + hitpoints

and changeable models then. Not sure at the moment.

Ah ok.  No problem about the blowable walls.  Don't worry about that since I don't think anyone has successfully blown through them anways.  smile_o.gif

Those walls are looking fabulous!!!!  I don't think we could stick 'em all over the Sinai, however almost certainly they could be used around the refugee camp that Calm Terror is making on the new Sinai map.   smile_o.gif  We'll just have to figure out how to balance the # of objects on the map so it works ok on slower computers like mine.

Oh here's a screenshot of one of our Fast Attack Boats based off of Col.Klink's Tiger Gunboat (with his permission-Thanks Colonel!!!) and modified by Calm Terror:

It is crewed by Shayetet-13 Naval Commandos and equipped with a Browning M2 .50 cal heavy machine gun.  It will be used for Search and Rescue, Interdiction, and covert insertion and extraction missions.

OK, here are some newer pics of the "israeli guard tower";

I've changed the upper part so that guards won't be easy

targets anymore, and so that it looks closer like the one in

the r/l photo. There will also be some dirty textures added

onto the tower walls.

There are 4 positions for AI, as i've already mentioned - see those

guys over there

Parked my AH1 ontop of the tower

The roadway lod on top of the tower may be also useful in

case of placing AA weapons.

I will now add a possibility to climb up onto the top from the

platform (ladder in the center), and that should it be then.

The "israeli walls" mentioned a few posts earlier have been

already released with the F3WX objects pack 1.1

The tower still needs a little bit of work, but the hardwork on it is done now - expect it soon.
