Guest RKSL-Rock Posted June 10, 2004 Ok guys I've just finished the UK Nets and decided to release a Final Public Beta. As the splash image states there are 4 camo schemes: Woodland (WLD) - Based on the Nogova Leaf Textures Desert (DES) - Based on the PT Sand Texture used on Nogova Tonal (TNL) - A Light colour compromise for use on Tonals and other Islands. Snow (SNW) - Based on Kegety's Nogojev 1.1 Snow Texture The 'UK' Nets are complete as are the 'US' Nets... The reason I'm releasing the UK nets pack before the US one is so people get a chance to comment on the textures as well as the updated models etc. The more Generic/WWII nets will be available at the end of the week subject to the Feedback from this final BETA Release. The pack itself is pretty much the same as the US Teaser Pack I released last month. Although there are now some updates and a couple of new models. Howitzer Net Large Command Net Lean-To Net Openside Command Tent/Net "Scud" Net Hanger Net (NEW) Garage Net (NEW) Unfortunately I've had to drop the Sniper Hide from the Pack due to time and practicality. I'm planning on something for release with my Ghillie Sniper and/or my L96 & L115 Pack. Well its been a struggle but I'd just like to say Thanks to everyone that contributed by making suggestions and giving feedback. I taken all advice and feedback on board but I've not been able to adopt all the suggestions made. Some cosmetic things have slipped through the net (pardon the pun) simply due to time. If i can some of the more cosmetic issues (Poles and spreaders etc) will be fixed prior to the full release. Thanks RKSL-Rockape You can get it HERE - RKSL Site (Registration Required) PS Mirrors would be appreciated. Thanks

KeyCat 131 Posted June 10, 2004 Judging by the screenshot it looks great RockofSL! However I can't get it from the link above, gets the following error??? <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE"> Fatal error: Call to undefined function: message_die() in /homepages/8/d67994955/htdocs/RKSL/db/db.php on line 88 Maybe someone managed to grab it and could put up a mirror somewhere? /Christer (a.k.a KeyCat)

C4P741N 0 Posted June 11, 2004 I liked the first set of nets and these look killer from the pic. Any non-registration mirrors? Cap.
Tomislav 0 Posted June 11, 2004 found lil bug, you can fly with a heli through the top of the net and land inside and it does not get damaged( maybe you are working on it as it is a beta only wanted to mention) but i like the realistic fact that  if you only touch it with an m1a1 it falls on the floor great work edit: only the large, garage and hangar net have that problem with the top
DeLiltMon 0 Posted June 11, 2004 Excellent, I've been looking forward to these

Quote[/b] ]but i like the realistic fact that  if you only touch it with an m1a1 it falls on the floor I'm going to have to increase the armour values again due to the number of people whining.  It seems there are a lot of really bad drivers out there Anyway...also know issues are: * The Woodland Camo is too Dark. * Some of the models dont sit properley on uneven terrain. * ATI users notice a flicker from a distance on the Pierced metal planking. * No roof issues with the Hanger and Garage * Editor Icons are two different colours (I know just too lazy to change them atm ) * Garage Net produces errors in WRPEdit. Anymore please post Thanks

KeyCat 131 Posted June 11, 2004 Yea, thanks for the mirrors kikill... Just tried them and they are a very nice addon to OFP! I really like them and will use them in future missions. One small question tho... why different for US/UK, do the use different types/styles/colors in RL? Just corious, nothing else. Thanks again for sharing RockofSL and looking forward to any update... /Christer (a.k.a KeyCat)
Guest RKSL-Rock Posted June 11, 2004 Yes Thanks KiKill, Quote[/b] ]One small question tho... why different for US/UK, do the use different types/styles/colors in RL? Just corious, nothing else. Ingame the difference (at the moment) is the textures. UK is more dense and uniform in overall colours. While one of the US patterns (the one I use in the US pack) is based on large areas of differing colours packed together on a net. There are lots of differnet styles in use worldwide catering for different vegetation etc but I've tired to take the most practical ones to use in OFP. Hopefully it works...the feedback so far suggests it does
