The OFP community doesn't really do personal addon favors normally, especially ones that will get 3 downloads, and then be ignored or someone will just say "That sucks" to. You go ahead, make a model, O2 it, config it, skin it, see how easy it is. For someone with no modelling or skinning skills that we've seen, you're asking for a lot. I while back I was thinking about making a mission playing 5t Truck polo. Basically you hit a barrel with a truck until you get it into a goal on the other end of the field. One of the key things to remember is that just because YOU don't want it, doesn't mean there aren't many others who wouldn't enjoy it. When you say the OFP community doesn't do addon favors, well look around you, about half the threads are people asking others what they want. There are a ton of "different" ideas out there from the Legawarz to GI Joe mods, mules and fishing boats, and various other things, and the reason for this is that OFP is no longer just a game, but an Engine. It no longer has to conform to any genre or style but can be used for whatever anyone can imagine it used for. For a while now we've seen open source Flight sims, this is the first FPS/Squad simulator that comes close to being open source and one of the nice things about that is that even if you get 50 msgs saying that sucks, so long as one person enjoyed it, what difference does it make? Just because you give to the community, doesn't mean you or anyone has any right to dictate what the community as a whole needs or wants, and the last thing anyone wants to do is stop people from offering ideas that may just trigger some wonderful mod makers fancy and stear him off into an area he never thought of before and take the game to yet another new level. Are soccer players needed? Not really, thats what FIFA and sport cames are for. Would it be interesting if OFP could become FIFA and a sport game? Unless you can import your thoughts into O2, Photoshop, and an Anim editor, you're going to have a bitch of a time creating an entirely new model with entirely new anims. Okay, add hunting and parachuting and (mountain-)biking, occasionally kite/hang gliding or diving. But there are no sport facilities, soccer fields, tennis courts, indoor arenas, golf courses...
