Hit_Sqd_Maximus 0 Posted January 6, 2004 Empires:Dawn of the modern world is worth checking out. It is pretty much just empire earth 2.

I can see how someone could mistake it for C&C, however... Afterall, the Brotherhood of NOD had Apaches, though they apparently couldn't afford Hellfires, or even rockets. I loved the Orcas. They kinda reminded me of the 'Havocs' in the 1998 Psygnosis classic 'G-Police'

I'm guessing you've probably signed a dozen NDAs, but are you able to tell us anything to whet our appetites?
BraTTy 0 Posted January 6, 2004 I love and play RTS, quickly reading this topic only one person mentioned what I think is the most complete RTS still is Empire Earth.... You can upgrade each type of units, has many units, eras and I still think its the best I've played most games mentioned here If you have never played, you must play the original Command & Conquer too My son plays Warcraft 3 alot and I like the fact they kept it like the original but the game doesn't have enough features/units for me,altho their is mods out for it

Dont forget earth 2150. That is still my favorite, if anyone still has it and interested in some games.

Milkman 1 Posted January 7, 2004 Sign up to be a beta tester for Supreme Ruler 2010. Lets you build damn near every modern and near-future you want, but it's not a clickfest RTS like C&C. In fact, it's a real stategic game with incredible detail in everything, so it's not simple to play. SR2010 Ugh, talk about outdated, but I guess some people wouldn't mind. I would suggest any of the Red Alert, Command & Conquer series. Red Alert 1 is very outdated, you would be hard pressed to find it in stores still. Red Alert 2 is also old, but a wonderful game, and the campaign actors are hilarious. C&C Generals and the Expansion pack "Zero Hour" are a definite buy. red oct 2 Posted January 7, 2004 I don't get why everybody thinks Rise of Nations is such a great game. I thought it was a boring piece of crap. It was practicly a clone of Empire Earth only w/ 2D maps. Medieval did a much better job combining turn based w/ real time stradegy and the diplomacy options were much better than what RoN has. Tamme 0 Posted January 7, 2004 I love and play RTS, quickly reading this topic only one person mentioned what I think is the most complete RTS still is Empire Earth.... I have Empire Earth too and it's great. I just forgot to mention it. I like strategy games with conventional warfare with a nuclear icing on the top. Nuclear bombs are my favourite weapons both in EE and RA2 But nothing beats building your own nuclear arsenal in Civ3 the best strategy game there is. My friend got Civ3: Conquests for christmas and he said that he could borrow it to me sometime soon, but I just can't wait and I'll prolly go and buy it myself tomorrow (the original one I've borrowed from another friend a few times)
