It is indeed Desert Strike.

I can see how someone could mistake it for C&C, however... Afterall, the Brotherhood of NOD had Apaches, though they apparently couldn't afford Hellfires, or even rockets. tounge_o.gif

I loved the Orcas. They kinda reminded me of the 'Havocs' in the 1998 Psygnosis classic 'G-Police'

I'm guessing you've probably signed a dozen NDAs, but are you able to tell us anything to whet our appetites?

I love and play RTS, quickly reading this topic only one person mentioned what I think is the most complete RTS still is Empire Earth....

You can upgrade each type of units, has many units, eras and I still think its the best

I've played most games mentioned here

If you have never played, you must play the original Command & Conquer too

My son plays Warcraft 3 alot and I like the fact they kept it like the original but the game doesn't have enough features/units for me,altho their is mods out for it

Sign up to be a beta tester for Supreme Ruler 2010. Lets you build damn near every modern and near-future you want, but it's not a clickfest RTS like C&C. In fact, it's a real stategic game with incredible detail in everything, so it's not simple to play.

SR2010

Ugh, talk about outdated, but I guess some people wouldn't mind.

I would suggest any of the Red Alert, Command & Conquer series.

Red Alert 1 is very outdated, you would be hard pressed to find it in stores still. Red Alert 2 is also old, but a wonderful game, and the campaign actors are hilarious. C&C Generals and the Expansion pack "Zero Hour" are a definite buy.

I don't get why everybody thinks Rise of Nations is such a great game. I thought it was a boring piece of crap. It was practicly a clone of Empire Earth only w/ 2D maps. Medieval did a much better job combining turn based w/ real time stradegy and the diplomacy options were much better than what RoN has.

I have Empire Earth too and it's great. I just forgot to mention it. smile_o.gif

I like strategy games with conventional warfare with a nuclear icing on the top. Nuclear bombs are my favourite weapons both in EE and RA2 wink_o.gif

But nothing beats building your own nuclear arsenal in Civ3 the best strategy game there is. My friend got Civ3: Conquests for christmas and he said that he could borrow it to me sometime soon, but I just can't wait and I'll prolly go and buy it myself tomorrow tounge_o.gif (the original one I've borrowed from another friend a few times)
