RED 0 Posted December 29, 2003 I quite like the Creative - MuVo 2 range, they are pretty small and very tough but do not have as much hard disk space as the ipod. RED
eisa01 0 Posted December 29, 2003 iPod w/ docking station. The thing about the battery only lasting 18 months is not true. Read about it here and about lithium batteries in general here. But whatever your decision is you should wait after Jan. 6th. There are rumoured to come new mini-iPods Peronally I got a 20 gb for christmas, don't have nearly that much music, but I use it as a portable HD too. And the design is just even the box it comes in

Pipski 0 Posted December 29, 2003 Big + with Creative is can also function as flash memory. Â AFAIK iPod cannot. Also, is cheaper and doesn't make you look like a poser. Unless you NEED 3,000 songs on your portable and want to pay through the arse for it.
benu 1 Posted December 29, 2003 I'd take a look at the archos product line. The older jukebox recorder 20 should be quite cheap now.
eisa01 0 Posted December 29, 2003 Big + with Creative is can also function as flash memory. Â AFAIK iPod cannot. The iPod works as a portable HD. And if you have a digital camera you can buy a card reader that you plugin and transfer all the pics the the iPods HD so you can take more pics
Dauragon 0 Posted December 30, 2003 i read with the ipod that you can use it as an external hd but if u simply copy the music without going thru a program it wont work in the ipod

theavonlady 2 Posted January 1, 2004 Apple Users Threaten to Sue Over IBook, IPod Quote[/b] ]In California, a lawsuit seeking class-action status is expected to be filed January against the company over the claim that Apple's warranty does not run long enough to cover problems with the player's battery. eisa01 0 Posted January 1, 2004 It's iPod and iBook Anyway if my battery needs a replacement after 18 moths I'll be really pissed off. My dad should have bought it in Norway, I'm pretty sure the warranty is longer here.
theavonlady 2 Posted January 1, 2004 Anyway if my battery needs a replacement after 18 moths I'll be really pissed off. It wouldn't bother me for a reasonable price, like any other rechargeable battery. But over US$200?! The nerve!!
